Carew is a crock - no thanks.

We just got rid of one with dodgy knees, we dont want another dodgy player. STAY CLEAR.

He's had some injuries in his career, true, but I wouldn't throw him into the Dunn/Reid/Dyer/Ashton etc. category. I'd almost be more tempted to get Carew in for £5m, even if he just plays 25 games a season, instead of the grossly overpriced Crouch and Davies.

So you can actually tell if he's using an iPhone, for instance, from his IP address? What if he logs onto his own wireless network using his phone? Sorry for being a geek, but I just thought it sounded strange.

Beat me to it. Loads of mobiles have Wi-Fi these days. He could just be sat at home surfing the web on his mobile via his home network.

Nicko, first of all you are doing a great job and I am defently not slagging you off by saying this;

But I seem to remember that you knew a lot of inside stuff last summer, and have a little bit more quiet this transfer window. Take for example van heerden, nzonzi etc. I can't remember you reporting this, but you have to have me apologized if you did.

What I am trying to question here, is if the club had a lot of more leaks during Ince's regime and you were able to get the information easier then than now under Sam?

Cheers,

Iceman - some people have a different opinion than you on Barton, respect it, it doesn`t mean they are wrong, or you are wrong its just a different view poitn than yours. Just because you don`t feel he deserves another chance because of the idiotic antics that Barton has done countless times at Citey and the barcodes, doen`t mean to say that there are other supporters on here who shouldn`t allow him another chance.

Some of these people posting about Andrews are not slaggign him off, they are sayign that his ability isn`t as good as Barton`s, which I think we all agree on, however the point people are tryign to make, is that if we got 3 million for Andrews, then its good business and we should take it - that again is peoples opinions which may differ from yours.

For what its worth, if Barton could come to Rovers and behave, have a golden halo above his head so he could do no wrong in an ideal world, then he would improve our team - whether he would **ck up again is anyones guess and at the end of teh day, any club that takes Barton and his reputation are taking a educated gamble

Whatever he does in the future I could not stomach the thought of a Rovers player who had deliberately shoved a cigar in a youth's eye. What's it take to do that? You have to be mental.

I'm writing on my iPhone not through wifi and my text is normal isn't it?

Lots of mobiles have wi-fi, like socngill said. I used to have an iPhone myself, and the text came out just fine, but he might be on a different mobile. Or using a weird texting software. But enough about phones in this thread from yours truly ;)

Edit: Daily Mail: "Manchester City's Gelson Fernandes is joining St Etienne in a £2million deal. " Slightly disappointed that we didn't try to sign him up or get him as a part of the Roque deal, bit of a bargain for £2m if you ask me. I think he has the potential to be quite a useful player, and he's already shown that he's a capable of performing at the highest level (for instance in the Euros for Switzerland). But I suppose Sam and his scouts know a bit more about football than I do, so oh well ;)

10.07 Sky Sports News understands Sunderland have agreed a fee with Manchester United for Fraizer Campbell. Hull City have also had an offer accepted for the England Under 21 international striker.

NICKO???

Can you shed a light on this?

And we are also being linked with Bobby Zamora

Blackburn eyeing Zamora

£6m for Zamora! Luckily it´s only tribalfootball running the story. Nicko, any idea has Sam set any deadline for striker search?

Big Sam to seize the moment.

Basically, he's asking the board to push the boat out, if the right man comes along.

Also Nicko, at the bottom of that article, it says "Rovers have rejected German club Mainz’s approach for their young Canadian striker David Hoilett, as they give him the chance to make an impression in East Lancashire. "

What's that about? Still no confirmation that he's got his work permit from the official site. I find that strange.

Taken from that article Den...

He claims Rovers have got plenty of selling points, despite their limited budget, and insists he will eventually attract the right men to East Lancashire.

“We would try to bring them to the training ground first because as soon as they walk through this door, there are not many places better than this in Europe,” he said.

“I think that in itself is a great selling point for this football club. I think the next one is the Premier League. It is the best league in the world - no doubt about that.

Interesting that he lists the two big selling points as the training ground being one of the best in Europe and the club being in the Premier League. Does that hint at a foreign signing? You wouldn't sell the club to Darren Bent, Crouch or Jones as being 'a premier league club' would you?

Gignac? Cardozo?
