Indeed but Warnock wouldn't come in the summer would he? Hence Hughes keeping Neill till January. We have to sell to survive thats that but the decision must be ours and not the players and not the Banks.

If RSC (and derbs) had to be sold they should have been replaced instantly with Bent or Crouch. No messing about, no quibbling over the price.

How this Club has fallen over the last two seasons. We've sold four players for around 36m and the most expensive incoming player has been Grella for 4m with Robinson being the only top quality acquisition.

Completely off-topic, but that article is UNBELIEVABLY poorly-written!

Jones would fit the bill in terms of what Allardyce is looking for though and should Sunderland indicate a willingness to sell, Allardyce would be interested in making his interest known.

i think sam is experienced enough to know that going into a season with 2 front line strikers is just asking for trouble. We will sign someone it is just a case of waiting. Sometimes you just cant rush deals. Wait for other teams to sign targets and pick up the one we want that is left.
