ABBEY Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Main thing for you boys is you get a result against them, as you will be their cup final this year. I remember when Birmingham beat my lads, Villa, when they first got promoted. It is a sickening sickening feeling !!!! heres to another 30 years of dingle beating

alexanders Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 21.13 Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh insists he would not rule out a transfer to Sunderland after the French club's president suggested the Premier League side are not big enough. Nicko, do you know if we have shown any interest in Chamakh?

Nicko, do you know if we have shown any interest in Chamakh? I can't believe a player who won the title and has got the Champions League to look forward to will be bothering about coming to Sunderland or Rovers...unless he is using Sunderland for a bigger contract at Bordeaux or a bigger club in England. Maybe he fancies taking over from Adebayor at Arsenal if Man City are daft enough to take him.

Man City will take anybody with a Name at the moment, I have a sneaky feeling that they wont gel into a team!!
Ricky Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 But would Sunderland pay him more though nicko. Looks like they are going to have a load of money so might be an attractive option. I don't know much about bordoux, i'm guessing the French leave isn't as lucrative as the prem so he might fancy a big payday.
saxo1man30 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Maybe he fancies taking over from Adebayor at Arsenal if Man City are daft enough to take him. do you mean `daft` because of his attitude? because to me he`s one of the best strikers in the premier league..

If he is going to leave Bordeaux it would surely be for one of the big clubs in the Premier - and Wenger has already said he fancies him.
JAL Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 the dingles in the butty shop were saying they was having a double on utd winning nothing and them getting into europe. Thats classic Dingles for you the numpties know nothing
nicko Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 do you mean `daft` because of his attitude? because to me he`s one of the best strikers in the premier league.. Adebayor is very like Roque, so I don't see why Man City would want him as well. Eto'o, on the other hand, is different to Roque and Adebayor...which is why that deal made sense. I wouldn't be shocked if the Adebayor rumour has come from Man City in an attempt to give Eto'o a scare...have a hunch the Barcelona man will still end up at City. He's not getting over £200k a week anywhere else. Any serious Rovers news at 11 nicko? A bit of 'knock-on effect' news...from one of the more interesting transfer developments of the day.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 A bit of 'knock-on effect' news...from one of the more interesting transfer developments of the day. This has got to be the revelation that Alonso has told Rafa he wants to go to Real - but do you think Rovers will turn down Rafa's bid for Andrews ?
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I wouldn't be shocked if the Adebayor rumour has come from Man City in an attempt to give Eto'o a scare...have a hunch the Barcelona man will still end up at City. He's not getting over £200k a week anywhere else. And what are they going to do field a team purely of strikers? There is spending money and spending it wisely, this has got disaster written all over it IMO. Even Chelsea didn't spend all the cash at once and used the solid base already there to make the push to the next level. Too many ego's to keep massaged and too much effort to get them all to gel as a team rather than play as individuals. Hughes is going to crash and burn. Nicko, with Vieri getting an extended trial is there some talk or belief that the Di Santo deal may not be as secure as first thought?
BPF Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Nicko, What percentage safety do I have of buying a Vieri shirt? If you think he'll be here till Xmas...that is fine with me. I may look like a Prize Pillock...But no change there...and...it is Vieri....the Vieri....at Rovers. If we signed the Viagra pushing Pele I'd get a shirt with that on too despite his age and somewhat flaccid composition. The credit card is on standby...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I'd wait until he signed or you'll look like a first class ____. Whatever you do, don't get a tattoo like the Citeh faithful.
BPF Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Nicko, When's the 11 o'clocker? 11pm? How long is the six week summer school holiday? I hear it starts next week. I was wondering how long traffic would be good for?
nicko Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Nicko, with Vieri getting an extended trial is there some talk or belief that the Di Santo deal may not be as secure as first thought? Not at all. Di Santo is still on course. Vieri is just a 'wild card' possible addition.
mark1875 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Nicko, When's the 11 o'clocker? i dont know why its called an 11 o'clocker cos its never at 11 o'clock anymore lol
JamieUK Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Nicko, When's the 11 o'clocker? oh my god!! Gone. Worryingly I dont think it was supposed to be funny...!
nicko Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Nicko, When's the 11 o'clocker? Question of the day award... SPURS are talking to both Naughton and Walker...massive money...and Walker would go back to Sheff U on loan for the season...Naughton is seen as a LEFT BACK by Tottenham...which means there won't be any more interest in Warnock from them...it's a bit of a tenuous link, but it is actually pretty significant...Everton are far from happy...Naughton is being pushed to Spurs, so it may yet have a twist or two...Sheff U want the deal as they get fortunes AND Walker for a year. YOUR NEIGHBOURS have got Easton from Hamilton and are about to sign the young full back Eckersley from Man U...which will upset Sir Alex...which is no bad thing...sounds like Coyley is having a Ginger Look-Alike competition here. ROVERS and the French winger/trialist seems a bit of an odd story...an agent who was pushing him round knows nothing about it...I think someon'e wires have been crossed here. Looking forward to seeing who plays against Cambridge United. Would love to see Vieri and what shape he is in. I hear he is proving a bit of hit with the chaps. He speaks good English and has a dry sense of humour.

Hughesy Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 How much are Spurs offering, compared to Everton? Cant see Spurs getting Stevie anyway to be honest, unless of course they threw daft money at us.
LessThanJake Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 SPURS are talking to both Naughton and Walker...massive money...and Walker would go back to Sheff U on loan for the season... you can't loan back to a club you buy from can you?
Hi Mack Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 you can't loan back to a club you buy from can you? Yes it happens alot. Especially in Spain.... I think Man Utd once did it with Ben Foster aswell! I'll stand corrected if wrong!
