saxo1man30 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Not so impressed...when did that come out? he`s only going to sheff utd, not man utd. doesn`t mean we`ve missed out on anything to me.
TimmyJimmy Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Would you rather have five up-and-coming, well-paid players or one over-priced, over-paid and over-rated one? I don't even think it's a comparison. Nicjo, I'll probably get savaged for saying so but who cares ... I think Coyle is about to be recognised as a top manager, he just hasn't got to screw it up this season and look silly (although for obvious reasons I hope he does). With a good season behind him Sam may well think of bigger pastures new and we'll be in the market for a new manager. You can't speak for the guy obviously but do you think that his Bumley association would prevent him from talking to us if approached (properly of course). Lot's on here wouldn't touch him with a ten foot steralised whatsit because of the dingle tarnish but I was interested what the view from the other direction might be, he must be ambitious mustn't he?
Kelbo Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I am gutted, I have said before I thought the lad had a future and we let him go, absolutely gutted, good technique, great distribution and a little bit of pace as well!1 Gutted!!
saxo1man30 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I am gutted, I have said before I thought the lad had a future and we let him go, absolutely gutted, good technique, great distribution and a little bit of pace as well!1 Gutted!! why?

sparky12 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I think Rovers could do a lot worse than look at Croatia and Slovania like looking at / buying the whole scottish second division like coyley seems to be doing
Kelbo Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 why? Because he is a decent player and could have been one for us!! No pace at all. If he signs at Sheffield, watch him go, did well at Tranmere last year too!!
DeadlyDirk Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Because he is a decent player and could have been one for us!! No better than Warnock, Givet though certainly, not better than Olsson, Billington in the academy is meant to be a very promising talent as well. It's not like we've missed out.
braddock Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I am gutted, I have said before I thought the lad had a future and we let him go, absolutely gutted, good technique, great distribution and a little bit of pace as well!1 Gutted!! if you had met his sister you would have sold him no matter how good he was which manager sold him?
Lathund Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Lot's on here wouldn't touch him with a ten foot steralised whatsit because of the dingle tarnish but I was interested what the view from the other direction might be, he must be ambitious mustn't he? Personally I don't care about where someone has been before, as long as it's the right person for the job right now. I'm not saying that I want or don't want Coyle, I'll decide that when/if that situation arises, but I wouldn't dismiss the idea because he's managed Burnley.
den Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Because he is a decent player and could have been one for us!! If he signs at Sheffield, watch him go, did well at Tranmere last year too!! Have you seen much of him Kelbo? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- QUOTE (den @ Jul 14 2009, 18:42 ) * No pace at all. Kelbo;- If he signs at Sheffield, watch him go, did well at Tranmere last year too!! den:- He's gonna get faster?

I used to watch Youth team games quite a bit and used to sit by the dugouts so I could hear the instructions and coaching, his touch looked good and his distribution was good too!! Saw him in a cup game last year and he did well!! PS: The lad Kalvenes or whatever at Burnley is nowhere near Taylors quality!!
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Just put SSN on and caught the end of Sam being interviewed? Anything interesting said? I know he was asked about Crouch and RVN.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Will someone be kind enough to PM me from my slumber when we finally sign somebody worth waking up for. Ta very much.
begresko Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Will someone be kind enough to PM me from my slumber when we finally sign somebody worth waking up for. Ta very much. That would more likely be a hibernation than a sleep at this rate
Jim J Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Just put SSN on and caught the end of Sam being interviewed? Anything interesting said? I know he was asked about Crouch and RVN. In a nutshell, the £17m from Roque's sale isn't all available, some has been paid to the bank already, or it was just said to make other clubs think we've got less than we have. Anyway, if there's anything left after we've bought a forward, then he'll strengthen in other areas RVN isnt fit till september, so he's a definite no-no He didn't rule out Crouch, but said he was unsure of whether he'd want to come to us. Asked about Beckham, again he said he didn't think he'd want to come to Blackburn, but he would want him. Tonight's game, he will play 2 seperate teams, one in each half
braddock Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 That would more likely be a hibernation than a sleep at this rate nothing wrong with it being a hibernation providing the right man comes in can you pick me and wilki up from leeds tomorrow?
Steve Moss Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Surely he's beyond rich now, so he wouldn't be interested in cash incentives? Do the "rich" ever think of themselves as "too rich"?
ChesterRover Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Just found this on the net, any of our American fans know if these guys are any good? http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/sports/b...n-44460952.html
rundereim Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 what abaut Kezman plays for paris s.g he is 30 years ,the price cant be that bad.. On 19 August, 2008 Kezman agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan with a purchase option of €4 million + €1 million that the player himself would have to pay to Fenerbahçe upon leaving.

Your boys don't need him, he spits his dummy out and is a mardarse IMO. Nick
AJW Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 what about bendtner , surely he would be in the price range , target man , PL experience ...funny thing is while adebayor goes to city , the arsenal fans will be crying out for a top quality replacement and knowing wengers belief in his young players bendtner will probably find himself in the starting line-up ha ha ....still think he worth a look sam!
