nicko Posted July 15, 2009 Author Posted July 15, 2009 nicko, does it seem that all the dosh is going to be spent on this striker Not all of it. But until a striker is signed you won't know how much is left in the pot. So no other positions will have money spent on them in case the extra £1 or 2 million is needed for the striker.

LeChuck Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 n'zonzi is looking like a bargin already at 400k To be fair you'd expect a £400k player to dominate against a non-league side. It's far, far too early to say anything about N'Zonzi.
AJW Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Still waiting for you to tell me the last time a 'name' player failed a drugs test after an important game in England? chris armstrong ?

Backroom Tom Posted July 15, 2009 Backroom Posted July 15, 2009 If Nicko is right then it looks like our transfer record could be broke to bring in a striker, the club have to back the manager though with his targets, we only get one shot at this but the trust has to be with big sam
nicko Posted July 15, 2009 Author Posted July 15, 2009 chris armstrong ? Is Chris Armstrong the new Luca Toni?

ffan Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I think Greening may have heard what Fulham pay... What do you mean by that? We pay bigger wages than Rovers or it's the other way around.
tcj_jones Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Please confirm it aint kenwyne jones, the idea leaves a bad taste in my mouth, like i just been tea bagged I love how unnecessary it was for you to write that!
Hi Mack Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I love how unnecessary it was for you to write that! I know i was thinking that when i read it! Funny though Give me the giggles!
nicko Posted July 15, 2009 Author Posted July 15, 2009 What do you mean by that? We pay bigger wages than Rovers or it's the other way around. Fulham are paying big dough...which is why Greening asked for a move. He looks like he needs some extra dough for a good haircut.

colbert Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 barry ferguson going to birmingham for 1 million, SSN reports
tHe_UnAmEd Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 barry ferguson going to birmingham for 1 million, SSN reports Hope that Birmingham feels more like home to him.
tcj_jones Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 At £1m, I'd say that's a very good deal for Big Club. He's a player of similar age, ability (although in different positions) and stature to Kevin Davies, yet the latter would command a fee at least five times as big.
rundereim Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 salzburg are playing tonight maybe we have scouts there watching...(janko)
saviola Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 salzburg are playing tonight maybe we have scouts there watching...(janko) Surley we would have made a move for him by now, im sure sam will find better
philipl Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 This thread is highly amusing. We have moved from being excited about the prospect of flogging RSC for lots of money to the excitement about having lots of dosh for a new striker to certain posters getting orgasmic about strikers they probably have never seen in the flesh or seen much of on TV. Ooh Janko, oh Kenwyne etc etc The one certainty is that whoever we sign will be rubbish compared with RSC.
Torgeir Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 The one certainty is that whoever we sign will be rubbish compared with RSC. You do have a point, but as long as he has a cool name I'll live. Doctor Khumalo should be available :-)
