Crouch won't go to Sunderland, its too far north. He'll get frostbite as soon as he hits the A1 North. And we all know what the social scene in the NE is like...his lovely WAG won't enjoy spending long dark winter evenings talking to owd chaps down the Miners Social about the finer points of whippet racing and flat cap frizbee competitions on Whitley Bay beach. I suspect he's another soft arsed southerner who thinks all intelligent life ends north of Watford and that we still eat our dead oop North. I once went down south and they couldn't believe I put gravy on chips. Heathens !

He'll go to Spuds or Fulham, because thats what will keep his lovely golddigg.....sorry, girlfriend, happy.

By the way, what would Peter Crouch have been if he wasn't a footballer ? A virgin !

Anyway, onto the ever continuing saga of Blackburn Rovers and the incredible shrinking transfer kitty.........

I am slightly drunk and slightly fed up and slightly feeing ill. It could be Swine Flu......

Just for the record you cant catch Swine Flu through Broadband connection can you?:lol:

Decent bets

Alan Hutton and Pascal Chimbonda, the Tottenham Hotspur defenders, have been the subject of inquiries from Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers respectively. Kyle Walker, 19, is expected to move to Tottenham for £3 million from Sheffield United, although he is expected to return to the Coca-Cola Championship club on loan. However, Kyle Naughton, 20, his fellow United defender, may not follow. Everton must match Tottenham’s £5 million offer for Naughton, who leaning towards a move to Spurs.

Marouane Chamakh, the Bordeaux forward, has said that he wants his future resolved this week, amid interest from several Barclays Premier League clubs, including Arsenal. “It’s hot with Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers, where I could have already signed because I found an agreement with them,” he said. “It doesn’t bother me to play for Sunderland or Blackburn, even if my president is asking himself what I would do there.”

we havent really moved on have we, look at the very 1st post on page 1 by nicko, the situation dosnt seem to have changed very much apart from zigic on the list and he may be a non goer too, so a marvalous 111 pages on were no near to finding out who our new main man up front is going to be.

Happy days, stick at it guys ;)

Is that why there is 80+ members waiting? ;)

People make me sick. A Rovers Legend buried his wife today and Nicko was present. I can't begin to imagine how it must have been to witness in person. A total tragic day. How about leaving the constant questions, at least until tomorrow?

I don't think any harm is meant - a lot of people clearly don't read a day's worth of this thread, just the last page to see what people are talking about, hence the constant repeats of the same questions. It would be easy to miss nicko's post that fairly subtly said what he would be doing today, and to miss the people who filled in the blanks afterwards.

Just looked up Chamakh seeing as he is the only target who has even mentioned the Rovers in anything like a positive way.

Hardly prolific- roughly one goal in four appearances throughout his one club history- with Bordeaux. Looks a good header and a good technical player who might link play up very well indeed.

Chimbonda to Rovers is an old old link which is pretty cold now we have signed Jacobsen.

Can't see anything in the right back rumours, surley if sam fancied any of them he would have brought them in first and they wouldnt come here to play second fiddle vice versa in the case of jacobsen.

Chamakah has been constantly linked with Arsenal throughout the summer so far, not the best goal scroing record but neither did adebayor have impressive stats before he came to arsenal. If the managers sees pothential then the player can definaltey make it to the top provided hes playing with quality players. On the plus point he would have a re sale value to if he did well for us as he's only 25 ;)

However, dont know if he's sam's type of player, he likes them big, tough, and strong ;)

This was adebayors record pre- arsenal

Metz 44 (15goals)

Monaco 79 (18goals)

hardly impressive

Wow.

I guess I owe you an apology based upon that reaction! Reading the Colin Hendry thread, Nicko appeared pretty shaken by the day...understandably. So I find people talking about his update with little winks and stuff to be a tiny bit disrespectful. If I was over the top then I apologise, but I also believe that is the first time I've been outspoken on anything so the reaction is a tad overblown.
