Not to p*** on the parade here, but friendlies mean absolutely nothing.

Do you actually expect to see Judge, Doran, Gallagher, N'zonzi or Olsson playing more than the odd game next season? If we're looking to play free-flowing football then why does any potential striker have to be 6'2" or above...?

If we play anything other than long, direct, unwatchable Allardyce-trademark football at the start of the season then I'll re-evaluate my beliefs. Until then I'll just keep looking forward to our next manager, and the chance to be excited and entertained.

I guess I owe you an apology based upon that reaction! Reading the Colin Hendry thread, Nicko appeared pretty shaken by the day...understandably. So I find people talking about his update with little winks and stuff to be a tiny bit disrespectful. If I was over the top then I apologise, but I also believe that is the first time I've been outspoken on anything so the reaction is a tad overblown.

I agree with the sentiments behind it BFP - I think everyone should respect what happened yesterday, and if you don`t then don`t post about it and sit on our hands out of respect to those who care about yesterdays events.

Hendry = Legend, i remember we used to shout from the crowds for him to show us his pants before every game, and like a true gent, he used to whip down his shorts to rapturous applause from the crowd ! Legend :-)

i cant go into much detail as ive been told there is a strong possiblity if it becomes news then others may look to make a move and that could mean rovers missing out. Sorry not much help but i think this are slowly moving

I'll post once, and once only, because I do not want to clutter this thread with the overblown tripe posted by some of the above.

A poster simply asked in a good natured manner if Nicko was posting at eleven.

Some of the usually no brain louts waded in to give him a kicking to indulge themselves in spasms of sanctimonious waffle.

Do any of you know what a mirror is for?

Do you think Nicko who always comes across as level-headed is not capable of dealing with life on a messageboard in the way that suits him?

How did your posts relate to the topic?

Do you really think that you are the only ones who understand private and personal grief?

Do you believe that Princess Di is sitting at God's right hand beaming her munificence down the righteous?

Stop preaching and look to youselves mate/pale/buddy/chum/fella/whatever...............................

Sorry mate - seems to me only one individual waded in to give a kicking. I can't remember what your post said because the mods have removed it but the OP didn't deserve what you called him. Pot and kettle

That means you won`t reply to this then if your only going to post once, and only once.

"No brain louts", I`m asuming that you have made assumptions that lead you to knowing about peoples habitual lifestyles by the way they post or communicate on a message board ?

Nicko I suspect, is more than capable of dealing with life on a message board - however appeared upset due to yesterdays events

Don`t particulary believe in God and why is that and Princess Di relevant, excuse the pun, but, God only knows.

No one is preaching, but your post was like a Sermon asking questions, so I refer you back to your comment about mirrors.

Reading Chamakh's latest comments, it sounds like he could have reached an agreement with Rovers. Does this mean that we have made a bid for him that has been accepted or not?

the club says they have had no contact with anyone about him and no offers have been made to them. so i don't quite know what he meant by the comment that he'd reached agreement with us and or sunderland. the French article i posted yesterday is no clearer either and the thing in the paper is just a translation of the one I posted yesterday.

Not the most newsy day.

The club after Fielding is Derby County...could well happen.

No latest on the star striker signing. But as key employees are abroad that is no surprise.

Anyway Neil Young is just about to go into Like A Hurricane on Sky Arts.
