Good news is at least Mr X is looking sharp...............

Chelsea Win 2-0 on USA Tour.....

52 Over Franco Di Santo, one of nine changes, volleys high after Lampard's free-kick releases him into the right channel.

54 Chance Somehow Di Santo doesn't score, his close range effort cleared off the line after Belletti's corner is headed down by Pizarro.

57 Warning Hilario comes for a corner and misses, allowing Zach Scott to get the header in, but he nods just wide.

62 Chelsea sub Mikel in for Ballack in holding midfield, while for the Sounders Levesque and Nyassi replace Zakuani and Montero.

71 Escape Another close shave for Hilario, whose clearance ricochets off a Sounders forward and just wide of the post.

73 Miss Nyassi gets in behind the Chelsea defence and clips over Hilario, but also over the bar. Ljungberg is withdrawn.

79 Denied The lively Di Santo is close again, latching on to Lampard's rangy pass, beating goalkeeper Boss to the ball and running on, but is then denied by a Sounders' defender's intervention.

82 And still… Di Santo doesn't find the net, this time denied by combination of goalkeeper, post and defender. He has been unlucky this afternoon, but is looking sharp at least.

After having looked at chamacks stats yes they are not amazing but one thing is fairly obvious every season with the 2 clubs he has improved his goalscoring record each season and as he is only 25 will get better with age if it is possible might be worth getting him in but think maybe with Arsenal having sold a striker today they will probably get him and that leads to my next point I know Sam said recently he was waiting on Crouchy's decision to go to the black cats and waiting to see if we can get K.Jones who would be a very good addition but now as of today we have a big chance with City signing Adebayor today they have 10 strikers on their books and whoever does not play will not be happy I think Evans is most likely to go to the championship as that is his level I hear Vassell has been released maybe we could get him on a pay as you play contract or what about the few that will prob not make their squad I can see prob Caicedo, Benjani, Bojinov, will probably have to look for new clubs any one of those 3 would be good either of those 3 would improve our squad not sure on Benjani but Bojinov & Caicedo are both quality players Caicedo knows where the net is and Bojinov is also quite good technically would be worth a shot tho I think wages could prove a stumbling block I have to say Sparky is fast becoming a big hate figure round these parts poaching players and staff and next year might end up paying Bojinov/Caicedo £60-£70,000 a week for warming the bench which makes paying their wages near on impossible for us and inflates the market cause I think the transfer fees would not be that much for those players who won't make the squad but hey if you don't ask come on Sam try and pull a caicedo out of the hat

crouch is a non goer, sunderland had £12m bid accepted that says it all. Does it seem that Sam gona get £12 million bid in for him just to match sunderalnds accepted bid. Rovers have roughly around £7-9M to spend on the striker.

Anyways, anyone see sturridge he looks absolute quality, di santo wasn't bad either, hoping thats tied up done

cheerio people.

I like the idea of bojinov and mentioned him last week. Good player still very young, would be a good partner for benni.

You would have thought that Sam would not have much trouble convincing a striker to join us. All he has to tell them is that if they score the winner in our first game the worlds Football media will know their name.

Unfortunately there's a lot of truth to that. The only players who would be interested in joining us are those to whom we can promise they can get out as soon as someone else noticed them.

That's the state of the modern game.

Before anybody gets too excited about Chamakh

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/4122...triker-bid.html

They've been tracking him for quite some time now.

Think we might have to bit the bullet and spend a bit on either one of Tottenham/Sunderland/Villa cast offs once they have got in who they want

Think we will start to see a bit of movement this week as most teams will probably be heading off on tours and will want deals done.

The other name that won't go away seems to be Alan Smith!

Heard Veiri was NOT with the Rovers squad in Croatia and that Sam wont be taking it further.................

that may well tie in nicely with what Di Mack was posting the other day ! looks like Treacy could be a reliable source afterall :D

For 150,000 euros he would be worth adding to our squad.

Good to see that Sam highlighted the need for a new striker after the 2 friendlies yesterday and he also made a comment about our midfield being over-ran in the 2nd game.

Im very confident Big Sam knows exactly all our problems and he is the man to fix it.

Great way to make money for a small club though.

Ye very true!

If we didnt sell our top players our club wouldn't be able to continue. We have done very well in recent times

by buying cheap and selling for top prices.

Shearer 3.5m - 15m

Duff Academy - 17m

Bellamy (too some extent) 3.5m - 6m

Bentley 3m - 15m

RSC 3.5m - 17/18m

Very good business!
