The deal should happen, but I dread to think what happens if Chelsea do a U-turn on it. Finding one new striker is hard, finding too well-nigh impossible.

Two things that extremely worry me about your post. Firstly "shame" about Vieri...the guy hasnt been fit for about 3 years! Secondly well be ok with Alan Smith...ok as in how exactly?? what has Alan Smith done in the last 5 years that merits him helping us....just answer me HOW!!!!!

I think Nicko just dismissed the horror story that he could be signing for us so let's not talk about it like he has signed. Replacing Cruz with Smith is on par with giving Fowler a second chance in my opinion.

Smiths been as crocked as Reid and Dunn for starters so how many games a season do you really expect him to play...For 7-8 million theoretically could get the likes of Chamakh and Janko who are worth much more of a punt than "smudge". Hell even 5 million for Zamora is better and thats saying something!!!

People seem to really underrate John Carew he is an absolute legend at VP a real fan favourite.

I think MON wanted him out but knows he can't because he would probably have to follow him through the door!!

I for sure am no english teacher and i dont correct my own kids for simple mistakes (i make enough myself) but for the love of god it's THOUGHT, if you dont know that how do you expect to convince people that alan smith is a good player.
