1864 told us that - not me.

Ah, fair enough.

I was convinced we'd be on the opening weekend, I think Man City will be the team everyone is talking about come the start of the season so I thought Sky would want them on. Chelsea vs. Hull seems a pretty bland way to open.

I thought that aswell to be honest, and we still could be on tv on the opening weekend yet as we still have to wait for ESPN to announce what games they are going to show.

I am also surprised that our home game against Man City is not on Sky, especially considering they put Chelsea - Hull on instead. It is the second time in the last two seasons that the season starts with a game which appears to be a formality, as Arsenal's 1-0 win against West Brom was the opening game last season.

Why don't Sky choose an interesting game to get the season underway?

A thrashing by a big team to kick start all the glory hunters, that is to say their main audience.
