den Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 60 minutes - 1 1/2 days before a game.....might be abit too late to be available for saturday. Why? That doesn't mean that I think he will be fit enough for Saturday, but he might still be included in the squad. It's on Liverpool TV tonight for anyone that has it. Is it

Iceman Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Salgado might get 45 mins, and a place on the bench Saturday. Sam might allow him to give instructions to the players. Salgado: "oy Dioufy, eat those hammers alive. If you dont, then dont worry i'll be on soon"

Al Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Affirmative. That's great. I have learned a lot in the last week. If I can learn how to post photographs I'll be on cloud nine.

Exiled_Rover Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Fullbacks should be interchangeable really. I wonder if he thought he'd be playing with the kids in his first game in a Rovers shirt though!
trs Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Fullbacks should be interchangeable really. I wonder if he thought he'd be playing with the kids in his first game in a Rovers shirt though! With the average age of the "kids" being 17/18 I have no doubt whatsoever he fathered the lot of em!
Exiled_Rover Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I doubt it, they're not very good - Liverpool are hammering them. Salgado's kids would surely be awesome, no?
American Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Heads up for Rovers reserves live on Liverpoolfctv tonight, Michel Salgado and all. I had Setanta last season and LFCTV was in with that. Setanta has gone, but I still get the LFCTV channel for free. Thanks for the heads up, Den!

DeadlyDirk Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Anyone else watching it? Just flicked it on a few mins ago and it's all Liverpool.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Liverpool are playing well. Nathan Eccleston looks good for them. Salgado playing okay but obviously not match fit. Will be interesting to see if he plays the whole 90 mins.
Exiled_Rover Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Salgado's looked pretty useful. Doran has looked very good. Otherwise we've been played off the park.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 He's playing well. Whenever he's chasing people down, I can't stop thinking it's Robbie Savage with a younger Tugay face.
herbergeehh Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Was about to say the same. Doran's been looking sharp, maybe out to prove something after not being picked for Gillingham? Looked a bit more like David Dunn than a winger the first half hour. Salgado hasn't put a foot wrong, I think his experience will do us good. As I wrote that, he was sent the wrong way by a Liverpool player...

trs Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 At 33yrs old and having achieved what he has in his career, it's a joy to watch his natural enthusiasm for the game, especially as he's playing with a bunch of kids.
herbergeehh Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 As if someone can change the way the world evolves around Salgado. Ridiculous. I'm honoured.

trs Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 As Souey would say..."he's a proper player" Another one was "this is a proper football club"..... Bring back Souey!
