SSN - 10.23 Blackburn Rovers have raided Swedish club Malmo for two of their brightest teenage talents with strikers Besnik Rustermaj, 16, and Flilip Pivkovski, 15, agreeing terms at Ewood Park.

Anyone know anything about them??

I don't know anything about Rustermaj, I thought Pivkovski was already here though. Pivkovski was playing for us in an under 16's tournament around April time, think it was out in America. There was a few highlights of the games somewhere around and he looked pretty skillfull and full of running, very raw talent though, far too early to say what kind of prospect he would be, looks decent physically for his age though.

EDIT:

Croation Times confirm Kalinic deal.....I don't get the Alan Shearer comment either.

Hajduk Split player Kalinic transfers to Blackburn

Croatian Times

Hajduk Split player Nikola Kalinic has signed a four-year contract with Blackburn Rovers that will mean seven million Euros for the Croatian club.

It is the largest amount that has been paid for a Hajduk player.

Hajduk will receive seven million Euros plus 15 per cent of the value of any future transfer by Kalinic to another club, the Sportal website has reported. Kalinic will earn around one 1.7 million pounds or 1.99 million Euros per season.

Kalinic’s manager Tomislav Erceg said: "I have been told Kalinic’s transfer is the biggest after Alan Shearer’s. Finally, I believe everything has been concluded. Kalinic has passed all the medical exams, and he will probably not return to Croatia but join his new team."

Hajduk officials Mate Peros and Jako Andabak said Kalinic’s transfer to Portsmouth had failed because they had concluded Portsmouth officials had been playing games with them and, meanwhile, Blackburn had made a better offer. Peros and Andabak said Kalinic had been welcomed as a star by Blackburn.

Peros said: "All I can say to you is that is the best offer we received for Kalinic. It is the biggest and best transfer Hajduk has arranged for one of its players."

Don't read too much into that. It's a bit of banter Nicko and I have been having for a while. :D

Don't read too much into anything he says, just wait till it happens. he only ever tells us as it's happening anyway, might as well skip all the speculation and him trying to 'crack the code' (ring up his friends).

I can see the parallels with Shearers signing given Kalinic's age etc. I can only guess that Shearer is the only Rovers player that the Croats have heard of & similarities are being drawn as to the big potential that Kalinic has....

Yeah, it will just be them bigging up their player. Cole was bigger though. Davies might even have been at the time

Do Sam's comments at the bottom of THIS page, suggest Di Santo isn't done and dusted?

Those comments will of been made at the weekend. Naturally until the lad comes in and actually signs on the dotted line - he has to say that.

Sounds like he is at brockhall today though....

Interesting...in this interview Big Sam says that we paid only £1 million for El-Hadji Diouf.

http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...5463903,00.html

I thought it was more like £2 - 3 million?

If £1 million is right then that is a great bit of business.

I imagine his wages are high. I hope he doesn't play much this year. He's too slow. I wonder if he is older than he claims, he has had very few injuries and was once much quicker.

Kalinic, bit of info on how the work permit in football works.

There where quite a few asking various questions, this may answer a few. It is almost 9 months old now so there may have been some changes.

Work Permit for footballers.

New set of rules have come in...even more confusing...

Wigan and Rovers have tested them so far and both got players in who would probably not have been allowed in before.

It's now known as 'permission to work' as well. You could not make it up.

7M is serious money.... i'd sell him for that.

warnock is all action and commited but he is vastly overated as a defender. we have givet... and i think ollsen will make the grade, providing he's given time and experience.

With the money flying around on utter crap I would be offended if we accepted 7 million on Stevie.
