Do you think, perchance, they were put off slighty by:

A- Being told he was categorically not for sale?

and

B- Him signing a brand new 4 year contract with us?

Personally I think that may have affected their motivation for putting another bid in or not just a teeny bit!

onto the midfield problems then. dunn and grella are both concerns for the start of the season(yet again in dunn`s case!) and reid seems nowhere near a return. i think it`s time to slowly ship our injury trio of dunn-reid-grella out of the club and replace them with more reliable players. i don`t think it can be done quickly unfortunatly, but replacing 1 per season has to be looked at now.

Grella needs to be given this season to prove himself to be fair. Reid & Dunn have been injured on/ off for the last 3 seasons. Is it Reid that is out of Contract in 12 months? I think Sam will be aware he needs to start replacing if nothing improves.

Although lets give sam some credit. We didnt have a right winger, he signed one. We didnt have a specialist right back - he signed one. We were weak upfront - he soon should have 2 more. One step at a time eh!!

Fulham werent even tempted it seems to come in with an improved offer for Andrews of more than 2 million, who isn't even injury plagued and is versatile player.

Dont forget that was over double what we paid...give it time, we will get more than £2m, although it might be next summer.

Bizarre news about Kalinic.............Shouldnt affect the move now though, he's signed up - just waiting work permit agreement.

But yet the manager consistantly picks him?Is that the same 90% that threatened riots if big sam got the job last summer.The same fans who wanted to sign janko on the back of one good season in a sub standard league?Just wish people would give andrews a break i aint saying he is a world beater but imo we have had worse playing for us such as douglas,mokoena etc yet they didnt get dished the daily abuse andrews recieves

Absolutely right mate. I was just trying to point out the irony of the situation that all those that wanted rid of Andrews (Iam not one of those) have unwittingly helped in keeping him here. That'll teach 'em (or maybe not!).

Hajduk's official pages confirm the Kalinic deal with some details about the numbers

The translated article seems to say that we'll pay €3,5M on the day the work permit comes through, €3,5M next August, €0,5M after 15 goals + 15% of the re-sale profit. And as they say the total sum of the transfer is €14M, it would leave €6,5M for Kalinic over 4 years, which translates to €1,625M/yr and €31k/wk, which would be about £27k/wk.

Yes its official! Kalinic has signed for Rovers for about 3,5 million punds! I think he will be one of the best strikers in the league! He has signed a 4 year deal!
