incecticide Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I know the squad's down to the bare bones Jackson but didn't realise it was meant to be taken literally!
slough_rover Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This transfer section is quickly becoming a farce...I think the mods should just close it down and if we do make a new signing a new topic can be created were people can give their opinions on the player.

slough_rover Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 we already have those, eg: http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php?showtopic=21775 Yes Im aware of that but the mods are obviously finding it hard to keep this section all transfer related. We cant go 2 days without the is Andrews S**T debate starting again. Out of the many hundreds of pages that have been posted this summer I can only think of about a dozen posts that were worthwhile reading
Jonnolad Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Do you like typing for no good reason Jonno? Lol - to be honest it was pre-empting a charge of being a part-timer for not going to the pre-season games.
incecticide Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This thread is for discussion though, incoming and outgoing. People are saying Andrews/Pedersen etc should be transferred... Seems relevant to me if not exactly high-brow.
Taggart Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Yes Im aware of that but the mods are obviously finding it hard to keep this section all transfer related. We cant go 2 days without the is Andrews S**T debate starting again. Out of the many hundreds of pages that have been posted this summer I can only think of about a dozen posts that were worthwhile reading if the mods are finding it hard, and you are finding it annoying because of all the crap, simple answer is - don`t read the transfer thread, and you just look out for the new ones that open up IF we sign a new player ! problem solved on your behalf - simples
Plastic Head Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 As Sam has said no more will be coming in and any leavers are unlikely bar silly-money offers can we close this topic now and get on with the season.
TimmyJimmy Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I have 2 kids under 3 and another one is due in a month Have you found out what's causing it yet Mate
tHe_UnAmEd Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I wouldn't as it is lies. P.S. Andrews is a hero.
Will Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 This transfer section is quickly becoming a farce...I think the mods should just close it down and if we do make a new signing a new topic can be created were people can give their opinions on the player. but then again, you could chose not to read it!
joey_big_nose Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 As Sam has said no more will be coming in and any leavers are unlikely bar silly-money offers can we close this topic now and get on with the season. Rothen is derfinately coming to Brockhall according to reports. I would say there is a good chance a free or very cheap midfielder turning up in the next three weeks.
G Somerset Rover Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I'm with Joey. There's no way we can go into the season with that midfield; hence there will be further signings.
mellison24 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I don't undertsand why (few pages back) people (Eddie) can't accept that Rothen may well be used in a central midfield role!! This is where we are short of fitness and creativity. Something he seems to ensure!! He isn't the quickest of wingers and crosses early as a result. THIS leads me to believe he will have a gud cross-pitch pass from the centre. And if he can do that, then his short passes will be decent too! I know we haven't signed him yet, but if we do, I will have plenty of faith as it means Sam likes him. I'm prepared to eat these words if it goes A over T.
slough_rover Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 but then again, you could chose not to read it! I think I'll just choose not to read your posts that should make life more bareable
Oklahoma Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I just don't think that we should get a left midfielder to play centre, specially when he is already 31..
ewoodnews Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 On Skysports news tv on in's and outs it said that kalinic had signed for 6.4m but it is not on the office website is this true ???????????
slough_rover Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I just don't think that we should get a left midfielder to play centre, specially when he is already 31.. You say that but Rothen would provide more creativity than any of our current crop regardless that he is 31. People keep defending Gamst but can we really keep waiting for a player to reproduce his form of 3 years ago?? When your a club like Blackburn who just avoided relegation last season we cant afford to sit and hope. Were not like UTD who can hope that the 16 odd million they invested in Nani may pay off at some point.
mhead Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Sounds like Vogel Mk 2. Stick with what we have and Gally will be great in Central midfield (when we eventually realise that)
Will Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I think I'll just choose not to read your posts that should make life more bareable Like most people then ;-)
JAL Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Sounds like Vogel Mk 2. Stick with what we have and Gally will be great in Central midfield (when we eventually realise that) How on earth do you reach that conclusion about Gally, hes soft, bottles out of challanges, cant run fast and only has about twenty minutes run time in his tank.

To be fair, I agree with mhead. Gally has a decent pass and can shoot. He is wasted on the wing and will be better operating as an attacking midfielder to supply the forwards. He can also take over corner duty for a while! BUT, only when Dunny isn't fit. AND I would also opt for Rothen 1st, if we got him. Gally would be most useful at AM/CF role, but I would take any money we get for him and run. He would only be a stop gap in that position. We need a specialist passer of the ball.
Hughesy Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Sounds like Vogel Mk 2. Stick with what we have and Gally will be great in Central midfield (when we eventually realise that) Ha are you Gallys mate or just deluded?? He's not good enough....
