i hope not! :o

incredibly over-rated. hyped up by the southern media and sky sports, the year reading stayed up. was shown up badly in a couple of england games.

amazingly that didnt stop o'neil buy him, then again we should remember he also signed zat knight! :lol:

And yet both of those players played a sufficient part in two european finishes...and there was a profit made on Knight...silly MON.

Nickos 11 O'Clocker won't be about the Kalinic thing I guess because the hearing is today so I expect we'd officially unveil him at some point this afternoon if it has gone through. Before 11 O'Clock anyway.

Is the hearing definitely today? Where abouts did you hear that?

EDIT: Don't worry, saw it in the LT, hopefully it's accurate and it is today, I guess we'll know one way or another by late afternoon, early evening.

Good to see you back Nicko. Condolences to you and your family.

Hopefully we get the Kalinic deal wrapped up either today or tomorrow as surely there should be no problem with the work permit. Still hoping for a quality midfielder to come in but from the sounds of things, I don't think this Capoue is who we need. I wouldn't mind Rothen but I think Yebda sounds the best of those who we have been linked with recently but whether there is actually anything in that remains to be seen.

Has anyone else seen on the bottom of Sky Sports news that "sources" say Rovers are one of 3 teams after Zenden, think one other was Stoke but didn't see the final team! Please let this be the 3 club rule he's been past it for a few years now!

Just seen it again it is us, Portsmouth and Hull! I think it may be 3 club rule, possibly more coming up about it soon.

I'd like us to make a cheeky bid for Kranjcar, he's told Portsmouth that he will leave for nothing at the end of this coming season. Surely, they'd rather money for him. Him and Kalinic may help each other settle in.

with the signing of kalinic now complete, this should open up the door to looking at other midfield targets.

Let's wait until he's officially announced as a Rovers player shall we? Being the eternal pessimist it wouldn't suprise me if he took the work permit and ran off to Pompey with it :D

Isn't Zenden like Rothen, a wide rather than central midfield player?

I would say we're already overloaded with (arguably mediocre) wide players, we need a really top class central midfielder who can get hold of the game by the scruff of the neck.

Christ you are a pessimist, but I believe the work permit is club specific which is why you have to re-apply if you are transferred. :lol:
