SALGADO seems to be a pretty serious one...got to say he is a hero of mine, so I hope there is some life left in the old dog.

ROTHEN will have his assessment and go home before figures are talked...I suspect Sam is trying to push down the price...but there could be another reason for stalling.

CAPOUE and Bolton is just a wind-up I think...he is here too.

Still waiting on word on Reidy's return. Hopefully it was not as brief as some of his previous ones. A good type who deserves a break.

Had a word with the Mirror about trying to scoop the 11 o'clocker...that will be sorted I trust.

Its been in the Polish media for about a week but I cant for the life of me remember his name. He's 21 though, scored 15 goals in the Polish prem and scored 5 in 8 for the national team. Admittedly this was probably a pointless post.

Forgive me guys, I don't have any quotes here but a guy at work (he's Polish) reckons we're signing some guy from a club called Poznan or something? Its been in the Polish media for about a week but I cant for the life of me remember his name. He's 21 though, scored 15 goals in the Polish prem and scored 5 in 8 for the national team. Admittedly this was probably a pointless post.

The team is probably ' Lech Poznan ' then, I know nothing on them but here's a link to their current squad listings.

I really hope that's true - ship out McCarthy and bring in this guy! The saving on wages would be huge as well.

I forget who Poland were playing now and why I was watching it...but if it's the player I'm thinking of I remember being impressed by him (the commentators mentioned his age so it stuck in my mind).

Think I remember him playing really well against Ireland last season, was the same game that Andrews scored in if my memory serves me.

I've not read anything about him coming to Blackburn. Also, I'd say we are fixed in the striker department for now, unless Benni moves back to Portugal.

Basic gist from a very rough translation is that ourselves and Parma had scouts watching him. I think.

Just seen Hughesy's excellent research last night - the tale about the meal at the restaurant - and that suggests to me that things are looking good.

The guy would get the VIP treatment on Monday which shows he is a cut-above the average 'trialist,' so hopefully he has just gone off on personal business today.

Fingers crossed on this one. Love to see him on a regular basis up this way.

Whilst it is exciting that Rovers are trying to sign players of the calibre of Salgado, we already have 2 right backs, so surely we need to invest in a central midfielder or two!

We are also accumulating a vast number of wingers: Elrio, EHD, Emerton, MGP, Hoillet, Doran, that is 6 players for two positions!

I know another player Janko, who you mentioned even though he played in mediocer (sp?) league had a very good goal scoring ratio, Kalinic is similar in that way, coing from a less stronger league than the austrian one.
