Sorry to spoil the guessing game but the trialist is none other than Nathan Ellington who has recently been lurking in the Championship with Watford and Derby. He had a decent record for Wigan playing alongside Jason Roberts, but most of his goals came before they were promoted. Faded badly over the past few seasons.

That could be true, he went from the top of the championship with wigan, to the bottom of the premiership with derby.

missed that bit, soz. I figured we'd be happy with disanto wrapped up and kalinic apparently done. surely the ones u highlighted are people we shud be trialing???

Having sed that: McCarthy, DiSanto, Kalinic, Roberts is only 4 (I'd think Gally would be a midfield option tbh, becos he has impressed there in preseason)

Ellington is a good shout, didn't he a roberts have a good partnership at one time? i hope it ain't him though, would rather inject my nads with battery acid

Maybe Sam thinks they can be great partnership again, then again Souness thought that about Cole and Yorke.
