RovertheHill Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Just downloaded a few footy apps for the iphone and thought I'd post first impressions here. Will update when we actually get into the season and can better judge them. Anyone else got any thoughts 1) iFooty - £1.19 - can be customised to rovers giving history of results, match text commentary, chat, news and push notification of goals from whichever teams you want to select. On the face of it looks highly polished and with a lot of information 2) Gooooal - £1.19 - push notification of goals from whichever teams you want to select plus live scores from seemingly around Europe. UI is not as good as iFooty and many things that could be selectable/deselectable (like live scores from countries I'm not interested in) you are stuck with. 3) Eurosport app - free - basic allsports news app. Looks quite good 4) BBCSport606 - free - as above but with direct access to 606 web site. Again fairly polished

RovertheHill Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 ifooty is free - I got that one Also use BBC sport & ESPN scores Sorry yes there is a free version of ifooty. I believe the pay version is the push version
RovertheHill Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Well so far Goooal seems to have reported all the pre-season goals as they happen whilst iFooty was a few minutes behind. Also, Sky Sports have an app out which is excellent, including match text commentary, lineups, stats etc. And that one is free
