den Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Whoosh! Whoosh what? We could go on, but I think we agree 95% of the way Booth and folk are getting fed up.
booth Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Whoosh what? We could go on, but I think we agree 95% of the way Booth and folk are getting fed up. Fair dos. Things can get misinterpreted on message boards easily. A lot of what was being said about Shearer I wasn't disagreeing with. I were just pointing out that Nikos one up front role was in a different way. So a bit unfair to blame him for those performances under SA. I think those of us who can see potential in Niko are just a bit annoyed that he isn't anywhere near the first team. It would be acceptable if we had better, or in form strikers at the club. Roberts has had several more seasons to shine in a blue and white shirt than all the other strikers, but his record is very poor. He played well after SA left him out of the squad, but then went back to his old self after signing a new contract. Amazingly most of the time he seems to feature. Frustrating.
BPF Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 That's bull,he is our best striker by a mile and that idiot kean has frozen him out for no reason,he will leave and i bet he comes back to haunt us next season,he's still young unlike roberts, benjani and roque(if we sign him) i think it's a disgrace the way he's been treated and we look a better team with him in it. We really are in a sorry state of affairs then aren't we?
Sysagent Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Hope he starts. I will show my arse on Great Harwood Town Hall steps if he does on Saturday...
alexanders Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I will show my arse on Great Harwood Town Hall steps if he does on Saturday... You better be doing a brazilian wax today then. Dont wanna show off that hairy ass.
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 The truly confusing thing for me is the minutes to goals ratio Niko has had SINCE Kean took over. As you asked Since Kean took charge KALINIC 5 starts, 2 sub appearances – 7 games/ 4 goals Total time = 458 minutes – Goal every 114.5 mins BENJANI 3 starts, 6 sub appearances (3 for less than 10 mins) – 9 games/ 2 goals Total time = 363 minutes – Goal every 181.5 mins
Cocker Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It doesn't really matter if you like him or not one thing is certain and its that him and his agent have made their mind up to go in the summer - and this is brilliant news for us. I doubt very much that any club will be jumping at the chance to sign him at the moment no matter what rubbish his agent spouts he wont mean anything to anyone as things stand. What he needs now are games to put himself in the shop window and good luck to him I hope he does it. Get him starting (with someone along side him) at the weekend and lets go for it. Yes he may struggle against City or Utd coming up - most will but an under strength Everton team (yes the same under strength team that thumped wolves last week) should be there for the taking. Go on mate - show us what you are made of (If Kean lets you)
chaddyrovers Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10303~2339426,00.html good article. Kalinic should start on saturday. Hopefully we will create chances for him to finish.
J*B Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 The amount of promises kean's making through interviews and new contracts we're gonna have to start each match I'n a 4-6-5-3.
Iceman Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Kean talks about him and his agent talking too much, but jeez can Steve Holloway(Ian Holloway loookalike) talk some crap.
tony gale's mic Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Kalinic has a better minutes to goals ratio this season than Wayne Rooney and Didier Drogba.
Gav Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Kalinic has a better minutes to goals ratio this season than Wayne Rooney and Didier Drogba. He's still not good enough in my humble opinion TGM.
Backroom Tom Posted April 15, 2011 Backroom Posted April 15, 2011 The article is a good read, all sounds fair enough really.
brfc4ever Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 "What we are saying to him is can he consistently go and train and play well and keep on the pitch by putting yourself in the team first, putting yourself about and getting yourself opportunities to show how good a player you are." say what ? "I certainly think that international trips don't do him any favours" So international players is unwanted ?

Majiball Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I want to know what he means by he comes back a bit wobbly after internationals? Is that why he falls over too much?
tony gale's mic Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 He's still not good enough in my humble opinion TGM. I'm not saying he is or he isn't, but he deserves much more of a chance than he's getting after scoring 4 in his last 6. If he carries on scoring at anything like the rate he's been scoring in the 15 games he's played this season, he's definitely good enough to play up front for Blackburn Rovers.
Mercer Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Of all our strikers, I think you will find that Niko has the best goals / game record throughout his career. IMO, without question, he should be our first choice. What we need is very simple - goals and RSC is not delivering.
Backroom trueblue Posted April 15, 2011 Backroom Posted April 15, 2011 Is Kean some sort of psychiatrist as well as a pretend manager?.. that's the second player about who he's said recently 'his head isn't in the right place' !! More Clement Freud than Sigmund Freud I think
steo Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Is kalinic in the squad? He scored the only goal at ewood against everton so maybe kean will play him but it has to be in a 4-4-2.
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Kalinic has a better minutes to goals ratio this season than Wayne Rooney and Didier Drogba. Shame they wont swap then!

More Clement Freud than Sigmund Freud I think It's highly ironic how Kean is saying this about his players
