Backroom DE. Posted January 17, 2010 Backroom Posted January 17, 2010 Nice to see Niko coming along. I'd like to see him and Benni Mac as a regular partnership, or failing that get him up there with Di Santo. As long as it isn't Roberts I don't really mind.

brian_gallagher85 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Very impressive from him. Cheers for the input ffan, always good to get a slightly less biased viewpoint (Your lads where unlucky today, Duff seems to be playing well again but Johnson is more prone to offsides than Benni . Think injuries might just hinder what could/should have been a very good season for your lot.)
Hughesy Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 He played well today & gave everything - just a shame Hoiletts through ball wasnt better to him. Needs to stay in the team & the goals will come.
mellison24 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Niko Kalinic, NIKO! Niko Kalinic, Niko! Did very well, but I thought we didn't create enough chances for him. A shame. The goals will come lad, don't you worry!
Montfort Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I was unsure about him either way until the first leg of the Carling cup semi final. Now I am a big fan and have alot of faith in him. I expect him to be the regular starter.
braddock Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I hope he doesn't read The Sun. What a disgrace I'm baffled.
LeChuck Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Interesting quote at the bottom of this Steven Reid article from Sam: "It is only upwards for Steven if he steers clear of injuries, he'll get better and better, but it is about me picking and choosing the right time to play him, like it was with Kalinic when he first came." Is that implying that Kalinic is going to be starting on a regular basis now, or am I trying to read too much into it?
rebelmswar Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Is that implying that Kalinic is going to be starting on a regular basis now, or am I trying to read too much into it? I hope you are right LeChuck, I really do. I have not been so excited about a player for us since.... ... a long time.

sparkspakespoke Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Goals that go in off Warnock count as treble....
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 Some will try to take it off him but definitely his goal
LeChuck Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 We've got a star here. Just wish I'd put more than £2 on him to score first...
jannerman Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Great performance tonight - surely he needs to be playing regularly now?
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 I think he will now, he's got to. Even now in the game he looks good. His hold up play and first touch is superb
John Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Looks really good, his movement and work rate are top class. Wins a few headers too.
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 Not sure why he didn't get the full 90 considering we don't play for another week Great performance though well done Niko
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Imagine if he had a decent strike partner and better more consistent service. The plus point of the game tonight along with Olsson.
Backroom Tom Posted January 20, 2010 Backroom Posted January 20, 2010 I know he still hasn't scored in the league but this lad looks like he could be the future of this club
RoverRich Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Brilliant player. Really beginning to live up to his billing from Bilic. The future of Rovers and of Croatia.
Kelbo Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Imagine if he had a decent strike partner and better more consistent service. The plus point of the game tonight along with Olsson. And Pederson!!
John Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Not getting carried away, but he looks like he is getting better and better. You see things in players where you notice quality and it seems like he has it. Obviously still got plenty to develop on but time is on his side.
Hughesy Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Said it since day 1 - this boy has bags of talent and will come good. He is getting Better, and better and better. Add in a creative midfielder laying on chances for him or a decent strike partner and this boy will began to bag goals in more or less every game. 5 goals now, 2nd top scorer and only started 9 games. Must play every game when fit from now on! £6m Flop?

Hopefully, we'll now see him ahead of Di Santo in the PL.
