Amo Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I remember when I did a 200-1 accumulator a couple of seasons back, and Rovers were the bloody team that let me down. Couldn't even beat Middlesbrough at home... Lousy good for nuthins.

Ninjathunder Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 My 8/1 bet on Pompey to go down still looking good
Hughesy Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 My 8/1 bet on Pompey to go down still looking good What odds could you get now? To be fair - they should of got at least 1 pt against Bolton at weekend. They might just improve yet.
Sparky Marky Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Me up this week boys....£2.50 acc brought me nearly £70.00 Rovers Utd Chelsea Sundeland Liverpool Villa Happy Days.
tcj_jones Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Anybody know of a betting site where I can bet on two or more of the three eventual relegated sides, thus making it into an accumulator of sorts? I use Bet24 at the moment because I was given a promotional offer at the beginning of the season, but they only let me bet on one team. I'd like to do a relegation accumulator of Pompey, Hull and one other.
Hughesy Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Not sure mate - If you do, let me know. I want to put a bet on that all the 3 clubs that went down last season are coming straight back up.
tcj_jones Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Likewise mate, let us know if you see any markets of that sort! That's not a bad bet either. However, I'd rather a bet that last year's three relegated clubs finish 1,2,3, as opposed to being promoted. The playoffs are too unpredictable!
Hughesy Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 I think Newcastle will win the league - and the 1 of Boro or West Brom that fails to get 2nd, will go up via the play-offs. Much stronger teams than any others in the league. Leeds to walk League 1 too.
tcj_jones Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 True, but the best team doesn't always go up via the playoffs. Far from it, in fact.

EnglishChris Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,...1796860,00.html Don't know if anyone is interested in this.
RoverRich Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I am new to this game but I fancy having a dabble at some accumulators as they seem like good money if you can pull them off and you don't even have to pay out that much. What online betting sites are the best to use? And how much do you have to pay to set up accounts? I have had a look at skybet which seems pretty easy to use but thought I would check with the more experienced punters!

What online betting sites are the best to use? And how much do you have to pay to set up accounts? I have had a look at skybet which seems pretty easy to use but thought I would check with the more experienced punters! I use Skybet from time to time, I always prefer going to the bookies though. Paddy Power offer some great money back and extended odd's specials along with special accumulators. Most on-line bookies will offer to match you initial deposit of up to what varies from £50 to £250. You usually have to open your account depositing a minimum of £10 while topping up your account with a minimum of £5 at a time. Skybet also offer the facility to limit how much you deposit per month. I've found Paddy Power and Skybet the best for me to use, everybody will think differently about that though. The good thing about on-line betting is that you can add and delete to/from your betslip as many times as you like before you put the bet on and it will tell you the odds and exactly what returns you can expect if you are to be successful. I put on the smaller bets, £1 & £2 accumulators for high returns, you don't miss your initial stake and if one comes in your laughing!!! I also have a go on Yankee's and Lucky 15's too. Some other bookies may offer better deals but they are the two on-line bookies that I stick to. Good luck!
Hughesy Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Bet365 are doing a deal at the moment (they always do like) where whatever you deposit, they match (up to a max of £200). They are good for accumulators. To be honest though, its better to go into ladbrokes shops.
tcj_jones Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Who are we backing in the Champions League then? Real, Sevilla, Athletico and Liverpool are the obvious ones, but they won't win you much. True, Athletico have had a poor start to their domestic campaign, but you'd still expect them to win. I've got a good feeling on Chelsea at home, but the odds are also very short. Not so confident on United, because Turkey away is always a very difficult fixture. Arsenal may be away, but I can definitely see them beating Liege. So, I'm thinking of maybe backing Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to win, but need one or two others to make it worthwhile. What do we think about Bayern away at Maccabi Haifa?
Sparky Marky Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 could be a good draw to have in the accumalator that one....Macabbi quite strong at home.
MeanGreenMachine Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 The glaring game in this (odds wise) is rubin away to dynamo. Rubin are russian champions, top of the league currently and won there last 5. Think they won 5-1 at the weekend aswell. Sevilla, Liverpool and Rubin treble is my cert. (that certain ive got 15quid on it, should net me 80 quid, easy money imo). A cheeky little outside accy Lyon, AC, Barca and Rubin all to win. 2.50 will get me around 80 again i think. But with the odds so long on the rubin game its deffo worth having them in any accy. Oh and i use skybet, very user friendly.

I like the limiter that you set yourself when you open the account too... My Cumps League bet is... Chelsea, Maccabi Haifia & Wolfsberg all to draw, £1 returning £48.96 with Skybet.
Hughesy Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Dont forget the championship is in action too tonight.
Sparky Marky Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 My Euro Accumalator for tonight...x 2 Chelsea - Bordeaux - Maccabi - Marseilles - £1 wins nearly £200.00 Ath Madrid - United Draw - Chelsea - Real Madrid - Bayern - Marseilles - Wolfburg Draw - £1 wins £90
OhmiBRFC Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I've got: Leicester A. Madrid Chelsea B. Munich Juventus
Hughesy Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Leicester.....West Brom.....Boro....Juventus...Chelsea....Bayern Munich - 16/1
unluckymorton Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Dont forget the championship is in action too tonight. Coventry WIN Derby WIN Leicester WIN West Brom WIN QPR DRAW Boro WIN Scunthorpe WIN 335/1
G Somerset Rover Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I've whacked my current account balance (had a couple of accumulator wins) on Chelsea/Real/Juventus and Athletico. I'm playing it safe (ish, Juve may well get turned over) because if it doesn't come off I'll be going crazy at myself for not withdrawing those well earnt funds.
