sloth_frattelli Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I contemplated £100 on city last night as they were over 1/2. Bottled it though, but still had tevez first goal which was a good price. Unsure about this week, dont think ill be having a big bet, maybe a few small ones. I've been doing big bets recently, only had thirty on City last night though. I started off by putting a £1,000 bet on Spurs to beat Burnley at 1/3 on Saturday which returned £333. I withdrew my original stake and left the winnings in the online account. I then lumped £133 on Sunderland to beat Wolves which bumped the account total to £430. Took £200 out and stuck the £30-odd on City last night so I'm sitting with around £250 in the online account and have already creamed £200 for myself. Can't believe Arsenal are only 1/5 tonight - this was my banker.

Cocker Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 You have big balls sir. I wouldnt spend 1k on a christmas present for the mrs never mind a football bet.
tcj_jones Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Not many games I fancied tonight, so put a small accumulator on: Rubin Kazan - Inter Debreceni - Lyon Barnsley - West Brom at odds of 4.28

sloth_frattelli Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I know, can't even afford to lose it either that's the worst about it, I'm saving up for a deposit on a mortgage. I realised today as well that although I haven't lost anything the very sight of 'William Hill Online' on my bank statements might be enough to scupper any mortgage applications.
Hughesy Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 £1k bet?! Wow!! BIG RISKS if you cant afford it mate.... Bet for Tonight/ tomorrow: Arsenal...Sevilla WBA..Cardiff..Preston..Sheff Utd Leeds..Bournemouth Chelsea 75/1
roverlution Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 New to the whole betting scene (recently signed up with Skybet) but thought this might be worth a mention.... Rubin Kazan v Inter -1 Rangers v Sevilla -1 Unirea Urzineci v Stuttgart -1 Odds of over 33-1 on sky bet on a treble. Worth a punt do you reckon?
mellison24 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 No bets for me. Had a rough night last night and need to live until Friday hahaha
Presty On Tour Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Barca Leeds Millwall Norwich Bournmouth Rotherham Oxford ............................ An outside one Fiorentina Barnsley Ipswich Lincoln
MeanGreenMachine Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 On a little treble but liverpool, wednesday and boro all to win at a quid get me 11 back.
Hughesy Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Poor results for me last night. Preston are just inconsistent, West Brom just let you down, and Bournemouth have just hit a brick wall......
LeftWinger Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 On a little treble but liverpool, wednesday and boro all to win at a quid get me 11 back. Any more tips for tonight?
G Somerset Rover Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Well what a let down that was. I tuned in to see how my accumulators would go at 7.45 ready for the start of the Champions League matches only to see that Inter had already played and hadn't won! Great start. And then Leeds go and concede lateish to scupper any chances on my other one. After a few good weeks for the punters the bookies are raking it in what with odds-on teams slipping up at the weekend and now last night.
sloth_frattelli Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Toying with a few combinations here; Man Utd 4/11 Newcastle 8/11 Forest 10/11 A Forest (home to Scunthorpe) and Newcastle (home to QPR) double returns odds of just over 3/1. Debating whether to add Utd to that mix to bump it to over 4/1. All other obvious selections are poor returns - Milan 1/6, Real 1/5, Chelsea (a) 1/5.
LeftWinger Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Newcastle 8/11 Forest 10/11 A Forest (home to Scunthorpe) and Newcastle (home to QPR) double returns odds of just over 3/1. I make that just over 2/1 btw.
sloth_frattelli Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 You're right, sorry. I've counted the returned stake.
unluckymorton Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 You're right, sorry. I've counted the returned stake. Easy mistake to make Sloth. Still, it's not a bad return for a dead cert. I may join you on the short odd's bets tonight!
Sparky Marky Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Just a little one tonight boys...need to get some money back... Newcastle Forest Utd Bayern Porto Its about 14/1.
Hughesy Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Newcastle...Forrest...Milan...United...Bordeux...Madrid...Everton 16/1
G Somerset Rover Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Newcastle...Forrest...Milan...United...Bordeux...Madrid...Everton 16/1 That same bet is under 11/1 at William Hill. What site do you use mate?
Neil Weaver Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Somerset, get more for your money via one of the odds comparison websites eg Comparison site (others are available)
Helmshore blue Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Newcastle...Forrest...Milan...United...Bordeux...Madrid...Everton 16/1 Ive gone with this one too. seems a decent bet. Also had a bet on porto, think they are a decent price.
Sparky Marky Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Newcastle are just shyte....can't rely on them for anything...
Helmshore blue Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Milan and newcastle let me accumulators down. Still up though, thanks to porto.
MeanGreenMachine Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Madrid, United, Porto, Bordeux wins along with the bayern draw pocketed me a small win. I could only see a draw in that juve game.
