modes98 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 The suprising thing is you mention Benni's weight but failed to mention that Roberts is a lot heavier and only an inch taller and Brown is a shorty and very heavy.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I hope Big Sam's got them on the treadmill. It's all those pies you have up north.
owenrilla Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Judge 6'0" 194lbs Whoever measured/weighed Judge needs their equipment checking.
tcj_jones Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Brown topping the list, now there's a surprise! He only needs to lose about 30lbs and he might be agile enough to be number one at a half decent team. That's if he manages to learn how to kick a ball in a straight line and over a distance of ten feet. It is great to see us with such height in the team though. Hopefully now we'll finally be competent at defending set pieces and might even score from a fair few too.
hollowsr Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Whoever measured/weighed Judge needs their equipment checking. For this reason I'm not totally convinced by this list. I now see it is from the official website but even so it's not true. Bit like a few years ago in the calender they had David Thompson at 6 foot as well.
Hughesy Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Why pick Benni out as heavy when Nelsen & Zurab are both heavier and either the same or less in height. They also could do with being more mobile when trying to stop the likes of Agnonlahor, Young, Torres and Walcott etc.
BiggusLaddus Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Why pick Benni out as heavy when Nelsen & Zurab are both heavier and either the same or less in height. They also could do with being more mobile when trying to stop the likes of Agnonlahor, Young, Torres and Walcott etc. Because Benni carries his weight in a different place than the others. Not exactly muscular is he?
Mafioso Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Whoever measured/weighed Judge needs their equipment checking. Wasnt he supposed to be ''pocket sized'' ?? Olsson is heavier than about 4-5 6ft+ players, despite being one of the shortest squad members. He doesnt seem to be overweight so if the stats are correct he may have built up some much needed muscle.

There is absolutely no way Olsson weighs more than some of the players he's listed above, and Judge is small - certainly nowhere near 6ft! If any of those are right it'll be a complete fluke, we can't really take anything from that 'data' at all.

He doesnt seem to be overweight so if the stats are correct he may have built up some much needed muscle. Possibly Benni looks heavier than some of the others because they are carrying more muscle? My idea of exercise being opening a bag of chips and cracking open a beer, I'm no expert, but I've been told muscle is heavier than fat.
Mafioso Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Muscle is 3 times heavier than fat if im not mistaken. But bone structure and physical features also play an important part in a persons weight. Big head, hips, shoulders all affect. In Samba's case maybe other things aswell, when he's not concentrating on football.
RovertheHill Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Must admit I wouldn't have put warnock and givet at 5 10 and 5 11 respectively. Then again I never believed brown was 5 11 either - least not lenghtways
Dave S Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Whoever measured/weighed Judge needs their equipment checking. Judges height was measured whilst he was stood on a box. He was then weighed holding the box.
