Amo Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 When are commentators going to realise Diouf IS NOT IN AN OFFSIDE POSITION AT FREEKICKS!!! I was more annoyed when I heard that City "have played ever so well." Sure, they've passed the ball around well at times but for £100m and against a side like ours, you would expect more than THAT!

dew22 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 What game are you watching? Lars has done quite well considering. Andrews was meh, and DiSanto a ghost. ::Hopes DiSanto scores a goal in extra time to prove me wrong::
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Looks like poor finishing is going to cost us. Don't think i'd play Roberts next game, you can't fault his workrate and teamwork but his finishing is terrible. Our side is only ever really going to create a handful of chances per game and we need to take them when they come.
HemelRover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Cool finish from Ireland. We dont deserve this at all.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Thought he'd scored eejit. Sorry, just excited to see him come on. Peter Jackson man of the match is Morten..
spencey7 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Absolutely brilliant from Ireland. Embarassing from us. Well and truly beaten by a far better team.
Eddie Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Well that's that. Poor finishing and a couple instances of poor defending. Glad to be back...
Guest ErinBrown Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Totally undeserved... Oh well... 2-0 - Ireland. What the hell is Sam doing laughing and joking with Hughes at the end!?
Nafe_rovers Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Absolutely brilliant from Ireland. Embarassing from us. Well and truly beaten by a way better team. you are so miserable!! do you not support your team? every post is negative....

Don't think i'd play Roberts next game, you can't fault his workrate and teamwork but his finishing is terrible. Our side is only ever really going to create a handful of chances per game and we need to take them when they come. But at least Roberts has the acceleration and can pull something out of nothing. Like in the first half, when he muscled past Dunne. Only problem is his end product....
Heinz Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 wtf never saw where are goal was gonna come from, absolutely horrible finishing
j166429 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 They all stood there and watched Ireland slide it home. Why did Robinson pressurise him and then back off??!!
No Nay Never Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 No one to blame there but ourselves, the finishing was absolutely abysmal.
bigbrandjohn Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Move of the match,Hughes falls on his arse shaking hands with Sam. One for the magic moments videos
Exiled in Toronto Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Di DiSanto touch the ball? No change from last season: plenty of huff and puff, poor technique all round, no goal threat from open play
bigbrandjohn Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 They all stood there and watched Ireland slide it home. Why did Robinson pressurise him and then back off??!! Thats what warnock was asking him
adopted scouser Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Absolutely brilliant from Ireland. Embarassing from us. Well and truly beaten by a far better team. You're obviously a troll. Dodgy at the back and unable to finish but we ran rings round that arabs for most of the game. I'm optimistic about life with Allardyce even after just one game, like the new lads, Givet played well.
jim mk2 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Result only to be expected. Rovers cannot compete with the extra class that money buys. As long we take points off the lower teams we'll avoid relegation. It's all we can hope for unfortunately.
Mr. E Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I feel crushed, saddened, depressed, infuriated, gutted, and just plain down. If we're gonna lose 2-0 at home after playing such good football.....well I just don't know what else to say. I am so glad I ever became a football fan.
BuckyRover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 It went a lot better than I feared. We will have no problem staying in this league. We just need to get Kalinic on the pitch!
Tango Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Shame to lose 2-0, City were always gonna be dangerous on the counter with the pace of Wright-Phillips, Tevez et al. Probably didn't deserve to lose but that's football sometimes. N'Zonzi looked good first half but faded in the second. Jacobsen was very solid and showed a lot more going forward than Warnock which surprised me. Pedersen was quite threatening and Givet and Samba were solid at the back. Lets hope Kallinic can finish though, 'cos Roberts should have buried two and McCarthy seemed pretty lacklustre despite an obvious drop in weight. Andrews was a waste of a position, ditto Di Santo when he came on. Some promise shown bearing in mind our squad cost less than 1 Adebayor and at least Burnley lost as well.
