Football365 seem to believe the good crowd on Saturday was down to Spurs in their Premiership Winners and Losers column...

Losers

Blackburn Rovers

Who will miss them if they go? Blackburn have scored just one goal in their last six outings and Saturday's attendance at Ewood Park only reached a respectable number due to the impressive commitment of the Tottenham support.

Unreal isn't it.

The complete lack of research these 'journalists' do is almost funny, if it wasn't about us that is. I wouldn't give a shiny s**** what these people write but it gets said that often that opposing fans believe it.

They are people brought up in the Sky era and know nothing of our history and what an achievement it is for a club like us to get 'respectable' gates like 26000.

The fact Portsmouth struggle to sell 17k tickets most weeks in a city 3 times bigger than Blackburn isn't mentioned because they are 'passionate, loyal fans' of course!

Grrrrrrr!

I`d have thought todays game v Sunderland would`ve attracted a crowd in the 27/28k region, but it was slightly lower than that (25,656) :(

Some might think that`s not too bad, considering the hoofball pish that`s on offer at the moment.....but that`s another discussion.

The average attendance at Ewood dropped slightly after todays game. It now stands at 25,977

We should see a good average attendance this season!

Was also wondering whether we'll see the 30,000 mark broken against United...hope so!

Currently at 24,987 :tu: with Man Ure, Everton & Arsenal to come. i`d be terribly disappointed not to tip the 25k barrier.

All in all, the club`s ticketing policy has proved a winner this season. They should try their hardest to build on this :tu:

COYB!!!! :rover:

According to Everton's website they have been given 4,800 tickets so that should make for a big crowd if they sell them.

Top & Half the bottom - makes sense to me, as we wouldnt sell them.

Given the importance of United & Arsenals games + the fact arsenal is the last home game - id expect us to hit 25.5k average

Does this mean that Darwen End Season ticket holders get into this game? So far, out of 4 expected missed games, we have had City(free), Liverpool, and United. Is Arsenal the last one to be missed?

500 seats left on Thursday, lets assume 300 were left unsold.

Corporate hospitality was sold out an all, so to be almost a 1000 down on our record gate seems bizzare.

2 or 3 rows in Darwen End Upper, definite spaces in BBE Upper corners, patches of seats in JW Upper.

easily gets up to 500+ visually. Odds and sods fairly readily make the other 500.

I sit fairly central in the BBE Lower and I could see 10+ seats empty very close to me. I assume it's season ticket holders not coming on the day. There are about 10% who don't turn up on average for any given game. Orobably less today because a lot will have passed them on to friends, but it is Easter week and school holidays so bound to be a few away.

We were sat in the JW lower (near the away fans) & there was empty seats in the Man Ure end nearest to us. BBE upper had empty seats in the top corners too. In the ground i said i reckoned around 29k for today.

There were the usual 5 on our row, I swear at least two of them havn't been occupied all season!

Where do they get under 30000 from?

I would say from lots of empties in the BBE Upper, more than expected empties in the BBE Lower (about 200) and some in the Riverside.

I could not see what the JW was like but there was a block of 10 empty just behind me.

Should have been better.

Yes, it's down the the obvious unsold seats in the BBE upper corners (approx 300),

ST holders not turning up (odd ones dotted around) and the odd unsold seat or 2 elsewhere...

and the front of the DE upper being left empty (approx 300)... so 7 or 8 hundred empty seats today?

The 88 short of making it a 30,000 crowd were probably season ticket holders not turning up :(
