Is bamba coming in Nicko?

I know Hibs are hoping so...but another centre half is not a priority right now.

Mind you, there are 24 hours left.

The Sky Sports News north west reporter has just said that Zenden is unlikely and any further transfer activity at Blackburn is extremely unlikely.

Looks like he believed what Sam said last week.

No doubt he will be outside another ground tomorrow, having read the papers, and changing his tune.

;)

The North East man claimed to have the 'Michael Turner talking to Sunderland' tale this morning...about an hour after he read the Mirror.

Easy money.

£3 million doesn't get you Keith Andrews these days (not a dig at Super Keith), so I'm not sure how we would go about replacing MGP with that.

I can never understand why he get's the stick he does. He can't flatter deceive like Lennon or Wright Phillips can, because he doesn't have the pace to do it, but he gets the job done in a different fashion and there is no doubt about him delivering enough service to our strikers. He was top assister last year in a season where we were incredibly wasteful in front of goal, and if we wern't similarly wasteful in our opening games I would have no doubt he'd have already claimed an assist. I accept he can sometimes frustrate with a rubbish corner or a misplaced simple pass, but there's not too many wingers who don't frustrate in their own ways, ask united fans about Ronaldo.

If we replaced MGP with a winger whos value is about £3 million you'd beg him to come back within weeks.

sell KA to pompey and they'll only be 2 more relegation spots to fill. if we sign someone worst than KA which is IMPOSSIBLE we will be in there. just hope we have a good injury-free midfielder lined up.

dont know much about this emana chap. anyone know much about him that can fill us in abit? would he suit us? can he score? can he provide? pace?

So when Sky say "Our sources tell us....." they've just been reading the paper (i.e. your work)!?

I can't imagine a much more frustrating profession. It makes your efforts on here all the more appreciated.

I bet JW wishes he jetted off on holiday as well!

Suicide watch at 11 by my reckoning unless we have found a buyer for KA.

My hunch is mogster's relay of Sky Sports News NW comments are likely to be right but it might not be for want of trying.

i`ll choose to be more positive and say i reckon by 5pm tommorow we`ll have a new striker, left back and attacking midfielder in the squad(maybe one as a loan). benni will definatly depart for ajax i reckon, probably on a loan to buy basis.

I think you are right Philip, some people will be on suicide watch when they find out that Rovers are trying to move out a certain striker for a certain midfielder. I think it is going to split opinion.

BS, it is.

Only one position needed to fill - physical target man option - Cousin the first choice.

Amazed that there has not been more amusement about Burnley being after a player called Cousin.

You Rovers fans have gone soft...

"Clarets Step up Cousin Chase"

I'm not in the least bit surprised

If Benni goes we absolutely have to get a striker in. Without Benni we are left with Roberts, Kalinic and Di Santo. Di Santo is only here until January where he'll probably get recalled now that Shevchenko has gone. Kalinic will take time to settle. Roberts.. well he missed a very good one on one at Gillingham and the worst thing was that I was never expecting him to put it away.

They say you need four quality strikers in the Premier League, three quality ones if you get lucky with no injuries. Benni is our only quality striker who will get us goals. If we sell Benni and bring in a quality creative attacking mid no one will be about to but them away which is our outstanding problem already in the three games we've already played.

I think Kalanic will turn out to be a good signing, and Hoilett is obviously in Sam's plans this season. But I agree if we get rid of Benni we need another quality striker.
