modes98 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Rothen turned down Rovers for Rangers? Rovers turned down Rothen for nobody.
Bobby G Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 nicko any outside chance we are actively pursuing Nolan or any other player at this moment?
mogster Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I'm happier this summer than last summer. We have the (early) beginnings of a good team and we don't have Paul Ince making a mockery of us. Let's hope he finds some tranquility in Glasgow
Sparky Marky Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 nicko any outside chance we are actively pursuing Nolan or any other player at this moment? You're desperate mate...wrong one....barton is the one we need.
MeanGreenMachine Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I guess you didnt see his 'performance' last night?
Steve Moss Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 we've needed a midfielder all summer and kranjcer goes for 2.5 million I think Nico said a day or two back that it wasn't as simple as that. Other players and trades were mixed up in the deal. Am I wrong? I would have loved to get Kranjcr, though.
American Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Cmon, we all know Nicko is the only one with sources, unless he put it out as a red herring.... It's official, so it would be one hell of a coincidental red herring.
LeChuck Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Kranjcar never would have joined us. He seemed happy to ride out the last year of his contract if he didn't receive an offer he was happy with. We never could have offered him the kind of wages that could have swayed him away from that decision like Spurs have.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Strokey says we're done for the window. Expect Nolan in by 6PM then.
brian_gallagher85 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 'arry is wheeling and dealing....
3rdpillar Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Do transfers need to be completed today OR started by today?
LeChuck Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 No idea how true this will be, but Sky saying that a potential swap between Spurs and Sunderland involving Alan Hutton and Anton Ferdinand. Isn't Mensah a right back, the guy Sunderland have brought in from Lyon? Seems a strange one to me.
rovers1995 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 How is Ferdinand/Hutton going to happen with 25 mins left.
Steve Moss Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 We've done pretty well for ourselves. Haven't solved all of our problems, but that is more a function of finances and carrying some deadweight at the moment. Next year should help tie up the lose ends. We're solid defensively, and talent in the making at the front in, and have talent in the midfield (assuming that it's not broken or resting on their laurels). We should do fine this year, even with no other trnasfers until January.
SYRovers Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Well that's it then.. We always seem to be trying on the last day of a window, but never seem to get it done..hmmm Well I'm off.. See you in January!

niggit Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 How is Ferdinand/Hutton going to happen with 25 mins left. Pretty easy, they wont have to be there, just agree, fax the stuff through etc.
rovers1995 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Pretty easy, they wont have to be there, just agree, fax the stuff through etc. I thought they needed the players signature, and if I was sunderland i'd want a medical with hutton with his injury problems
AndyR Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Ex Rover on the move 1624: Drop into League One and John Barnes' Tranmere Rovers have completed the signing of 30-year-old defender Marlon Broomes until June 2010.
Hi Mack Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Pretty easy, they wont have to be there, just agree, fax the stuff through etc. Extremely dissapointed we havent added a bit of class to our midfield. We have no creativity if/when Dunn gets injured again. Looking forward to seeing a back for of PC CS GG MS but i can see alot of 0-0 games this season!
niggit Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I thought they needed the players signature, and if I was sunderland i'd want a medical with hutton with his injury problems They would, but sure that is not that hard to do. With a loan, sure there would be come back.

budha Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I thought they needed the players signature, and if I was sunderland i'd want a medical with hutton with his injury problems That's why they're loans. They can do the medicals and make the deals permanent after the window is shut.
