Anyway, he is off...and hopefully the consolation is that the money is spent on a midfielder or two.

Sorry to see him go but if the money is needed to strengthen midfield then so be it. Hopefully the triallist works out and gets kept on as the centre back cover that Givet would have provided if he wasn't becoming our only Premier-class left back.

Absolute joke. In todays market it should be 8mil up front rising to 10mil plus. Thought Sam had said triple your offer. Yes it will get us a couple of midfielders but i get the feeling we are being done here if you compare to other transfers happening this summer.

It's been on the cards since Hughes left in my opinion. Can't say that I'm happy , we'll have to sign a left back now. Givet's O.K. there but he's a better centre half in my book.

Very disappointing. I just can't see us spending money on a midfielder and i think we are shooting ourselves into the foot. Going to be a bit of fan backlash over this, voted our player of the year and regarded as a main player by the fanbase, can see Sam getting some serious flack over this.

Nicko has he been sold mainly to cover Salgado's wages? If so a frucking disgrace. £8 million the fee? looking at around £4 million once the board of took a load of it. Not going to buy much...

£8 million is a bargain for Warnock in today's market. I hope we play it like last year, not letting him leave until we have a replacement (albeit in midfield) lined up.

i was pleasently surprised to hear sam state, it would take aprox 12 to get warnock, so im dissapointed by the fact, we are only getting 8.

If we sign a decent centre mid , i think its a fair enough sacrafice warnock blows hot and cold and i was a bit annoyed with him after he got the monk on after being took out of centre mid to play left back again last season, but if the money fades away into trustees pockets and no centre mid is signed i have to say that to sell him was needless.

I dont reckon it will have been all his descision... Bet he doesnt see half of the money, if the bid is big enough the bank will have stepped in!!!
