spencey7 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 As much as I long for the day when he is no longer our manager - Allardyce won't walk away. He'd never work in the top flight again.

JAL Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 If it has to be a cheap CH I said after the Hibs game I was impressed with Sol Bamba Hibs payed 50k for him on deadline day last season. He stopped us in our tracks all night and good in the air played some nice balls out of defense to his own players. Hails from the Ivory coast. No need for a work permit 24 year old 6'3' Samba & Bamba a commentators nightmare. Good shout that would be a giant combination. What I dont understand is people failing to understand WHY we need a centre half IF Warnock leaves.
Guest TuGays One Cup Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 As much as I long for the day when he is no longer our manager - Allardyce won't walk away. He'd never work in the top flight again. in the interview did he call us a small TIME club or a small town club im sure he said small time AS Apposed to Bolton Good bye sam you know were the door is maybe we can get back to playing football then, not this anti-football set piece chaos . goodbye and good riddance
Hi Mack Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 As much as I long for the day when he is no longer our manager - Allardyce won't walk away. He'd never work in the top flight again. Even though im PiS$ed off, anyone who wants Allardyce out cannot know a whole lot about football! Sam seems as nobbed off as us, He doesnt manage the cash, If we didnt have Sam who would we get? THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ffan Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 "Aston Villa have made a fresh approach to sign Stephen Warnock after an initial £4.5 million offer was turned down. Blackburn Rovers value the defender at closer to £7 million." The times.

dixonbrfc Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 people who want allardyce out need to get a grip! BLACKBURN ROVERS IS A SMALL TOWN CLUB!, IT IS ALSO A SELLING CLUB. we are not in the financial position to reject offers like 18m for RSC, 10m/12m for warnock. we need to keep the books balanced! anyone who thinks we should be spending every penny we get in transfers on new players is not in JW position for good reason! if you dont like the way the club is run, why dont you go and support moneybags city, because everything is rosey there (for the next 2/3 years), i am proud of our club, is is a proper football club, run in the right way! if you need example just look at pompey and west ham a year or two ago!
Hughesy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 FFS - I thought this was the transfer thread, not the depression thread!! People on here read far too much into every action, be positive will you. FFS some of you sound like Spurs fans or Geordies!!
Hi Mack Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 They really are a bunch of tossers. Off Topic we dont play Burnley for 2 months yet!
Kelbo Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 FFS - I thought this was the transfer thread, not the depression thread!! People on here read far too much into every action, be positive will you. FFS some of you sound like Spurs fans or Geordies!! Always a good post from Hughsey, Philip, Splitscreen, wingwizard and BFS and of course the now retired Majiball!! We hve got to stick together now, supporters, manager, players and staff, Burnley are no world beaters, they are all together in wht they are doing!! we must be the same!! Time will tell andthe league able takes shape October / November time!!
Hughesy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I seriously don't understand why we have so many down beat and depressed supporters, it's crazy! Sam hasn't failed us so far, and he won't do!
spencey7 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 If we didnt have Sam who would we get? THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael Laudrup, Marco Van Basten, Bernd Schuster, Jurgen Klinsmann, Claudio Ranieri... Any of those currently unemployed bosses (and there are others) would attract players, enhance our reputation and (dare I say it) inspire more entertainment on the pitch. Since the inception of the Premier League we've been a small town club which thought big. That's what seems to have changed.
ffan Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce will target £2million-rated Le Mans defender Gregory Cerdan once he sells Stephen Warnock to Aston Villa. Allardyce faces competition from Fulham for centre back Cerdan with Roy Hodgson viewing the defender as a perfect replacement for Brede Hangeland. Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy is an Ajax target. From the Mail
dixonbrfc Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Michael Laudrup, Marco Van Basten, Bernd Schuster, Jurgen Klinsmann, Claudio Ranieri... and what planet are you currently on?
spencey7 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 and what planet are you currently on? I'm sure all of those managers would listen to what we have to say, they want to be in football, and I suspect they would like a crack at the Premier League. Remember Laudrup was interviewed when we chose Ince. I guess the latter was cheaper.

How would we attract managers of that stature? They want big bucks to spend. Also what premier league management experience have they got???
spencey7 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Is he Vinjay??? Think big sounds familiar....... Maybe it's not the club who needs to think bigger - but some of the fans on this board. P.S. I thought you had me on "ignore" Hughesy? Feel free to get back to that.

And do what, start selling what we have, to build there own fizzy pop side, there is no money to work with, not one of those named would entertain us with out a transfer kitty of 20-30m. It's one for all an all for one, or see you in the fizzy pop with Laudrup and Co. long gone. COYB Edit. + around 12m gone out of the club in Compo and league places, not to mention the credit crunch, Rovers have not changed, the world we operate in has, for now. Batten down the hatches and ride the storm.
