A player that would have made a "better" contribution wouldn't be prepared to sit on the bench when our better midfielders are fit. We can't sell our injury prone players to buy better ones therefore Andrews stays.

I'll simplify:

Better = £££

Rovers <> £££

No I'll simplify. I prefer 10 men. Is that clearer?

Not really. I understood the point you were making, I just wanted to explain to you that you were wrong.

Maybe Sam, Hodgson or Trappatoni can explain to you what they see in Andrews that you don't.

Get them to give me a ring as well, I'd love to know!

My point was in reference to the bit above. Its not by choice that we dismantle, it because Finances restrict us to do so. We find a gem, polish it up, sell it for a big profit and start again.

Let not forget that Warnock is another - we only paid £1.5m for him.

Almost right Hughesy. We need the new gem in place before the other is sold..... unless of course that new gem is considered to be already here in Gael Givet. :huh:

Does anyone on here know how much Salgado wants a week, and for how long???

Not sure, would suspect no less than£35 to £40k

Unless a deal can be set up with a local Tapas Bar!! :lol:

Think Sam said a 1 year deal with a 1 year option!

:lol: funny how it's the older heads (established members) who can't read the topic sub title. ;)

Maybe we can read it but not be bound by it. :D

I think he'd want a big lump of a signing on fee first. Rem he is for free so there will be no transfer fee and no depreciation.

Nice pay off if true!

Salgado's contract has been terminated by Madrid a year early, with the tough-tackling right back reportedly receiving euro4 million (C$6 million) in compensation
