Sysagent Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I'd snap anyone's hand off for mid table mediocrity at this point. Unfortunately we're looking very much like relegation fodder already. Jesus Christ... Two games in and the ubiquitous Rover's fan apathy set's in, why do you bother.
Balwer Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 At least you lot are Poms. I'm a Rovers fan and an Aussie
Exiled_Rover Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I'd snap anyone's hand off for mid table mediocrity at this point. Unfortunately we're looking very much like relegation fodder already. How so? We pushed City to the brink and we're unfortunate to be losing against Sunderland away. We'll survive quite comfortably this season which is all any Rovers fan can ask for considering the complete lack of finances.
Mr. E Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 If points were measured by how much time we get the ball to spend on the opponent's goaline without anyone knocking it in we'd be premiership champions 2 years running.

And the players were going on about Europe before the start of the season...
booth Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 If points were measured by how much time we get the ball to spend on the opponent's goaline without anyone knocking it in we'd be premiership champions 2 years running. For anyone who isn't watching the game - we're having no luck at all. In my opinion, Rovers are the better team yet losing, again.
Rovermatt Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 We'll play all day and not get another. Dear oh dear.
BPF Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Actually I refuse to be negative. It was going to be a tough two opening games with both City and Sunderland spending cash over the summer. All will be ok when we do West Ham 4 - 0 next week
Amo Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Revidge is being stalked by a black cloud at the moment. It's not his fault. Relegation fodder after two games? Oh pur-leeeease...
Miker Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Harsh, very harsh. I think he's playing well to say it's his first game. Getting into some good positions, puts himself about and it was his strike that led to the first goal. I think he shows a lot of promise. That just sounds like you're describing Roberts. I never said I was writing him off, I'm saying he's had some horrible finishing this game. He's spurned about 3 or 4 good chances now... He looks like he's far off being ready for Premier League at the moment, even if it is a bad day for him.
Hughesy Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I cannot believe the negativity - yes we are losing but for fook sake, we dont deserve to be - you cant say we have been crap. Battered them!
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I cannot believe the negativity - yes we are losing but for fook sake, we dont deserve to be - you cant say we have been crap. Battered them! At the end of the day its points that count. I'd rather play crap and win by one goal than play well but lose.
mogster Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I don't want to keep saying how well we have played and it'll come good soon cos the signs are there. There's only so many times! We take the lead - and 2 defensive lapses cost us the game.
Gogger Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 To bad its the goals that counts in this game. Playing the best counts as nothing. Only thing we create chanses on are freekicks and corners.
KoNG Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Christ, now benni is doing the hokey pokey on the floor. Injury central.

I do agree with you like I said above, a top striker will at least hit the target. However, You have to take into account the lack of a pre season, mixed with debut nerves. It will make a difference.
Miker Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 More injuries We haven't played badly... but we're losing and that's that. Not a cause for pessimism just yet, but facts are there.
booth Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Midfield is still a glaring problem - Andrews just isn't up to the standard. However can't fault the team overall for effort.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Four serious defensive lapses in two games, and people on here claim Samba is worth £20m... So all we need is a striker who can score goals, a midfielder who can create chances, and a defender or two who can make a tackle. Nothing serious then.
Hughesy Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Four serious defensive lapses in two games, and people on here claim Samba is worth £20m... Are you claiming Samba is the reason why all 4 have gone in? Deluded!
Fylde Coast Fan Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Are you claiming Samba is the reason why all 4 have gone in? Deluded! Not all four, but at least two.
BuckyRover Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 All these injuries. I'm starting to question our training techniques
