Iceman Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 when xmas has come and gone, you'll be saying after easter, both are wasters Thing is, where does he fit in at the moment? Nzonzi is doing well, and Dunn fantastically well. We have enough cover defensively, and with Bert returning its even more difficult. Only position, would be him in place of Andrews, with Nzonzi pushing further up with Dunny. Either that, or Salgado to play as striker.

roversmum Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Isn't there a new baby either due or recently born in the Salgado family?
S15 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 not even named in the reserves tonight, bloody good life this,40k a week for warming the bench I think you're a but of a sad @#/? for intentionally finding that out just to come on here and shake your head from side to side for a bit with one eyebrow raised. You have an obsessive disorder for a man who will never see you face, and a man who you will never mean a dot to.
Billy Castell Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I have a feeling he'll be unleashed soon on Chelsea and/or Mna Utd. His experience may be very useful over these games. Well, I hope we get some use out of him anyway.
Miker Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I think Salgado has to be turned into a defensive midfielder, as otherwise there's really not much use for him. Although I suppose he would be considered second choice for right back, with Chimbonda being employed at left back and Emerton on the wing, but if we're going to play with 2 central midfielders sitting deep then we need some more options there than Andrews and N'zonzi who we have now. Although again, once Grella and Reid are fit, I wouldn't be surprised if they were employed as first choice in those positions. Either way... if he can show himself to be capable of playing as a defensive mid AND a right back then that gives us some very good cover in both positions, which is always a bonus.

grizfoot Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Michel is in the Sky Sports studio discussing tonight's Champions League games with the obvious emphasis on Real Madrid.
Exiled_Rover Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 We should make Sky pay his wages. He's appeared for them more times than us.
T4E Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 He's bloody brilliant when he's on Sky though. I don't care if he's ######, I him.
John Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 He looked so smart and spoke so well the other night - any one know what shampoo he uses?
CrazyIvan Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 He looked so smart and spoke so well the other night - any one know what shampoo he uses? It won't be Loreal because it's not worth it...
Manc Rover Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 It won't be Loreal because it's not worth it... Wash and Go - to Blackburn and pick up £40K pw and sit on the bench!
John Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Salgado is a pundit, in the Sky Sports studio, for the Barca/Real Madrid match tonight.
American Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 So glad we got rid of Warnock to bring him in....
S15 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I think we all are. Galactaco's on the bench, Galactico's on the bench....
Tris Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Salgado is a pundit, in the Sky Sports studio, for the Barca/Real Madrid match tonight. Perhaps we should get Sky to take him off us at 40 grand a week - we can just borrow him back off Sky for the odd Saturday afternoon when we might need him. Because so far, he's clocked up far more appearances for them than he has for us!!
tony gale's mic Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 So glad we got rid of Warnock to bring him in.... Whoever claims that needs to sit down with a calculator for about 30 seconds. It's somewhat akin to saying Ince sold Bentley to bring in Andrews. Salgado is looking like a poor move and he is on high wages but I'll wager they're not much different to what Warnock was on...plus the 8 million transfer fee...
Majiball Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Play him or get rid of him, absolute waste of our limited resources.
Eddie Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Whoever claims that needs to sit down with a calculator for about 30 seconds. Salgado is looking like a poor move and he is on high wages but I'll wager they're not much different to what Warnock was on...plus the 8 million transfer fee... I think there is no doubt that there was added reason to sell Warnock because of the imminent arrival of Salgado. It is quite clear that Allardyce had to get his man and the Warnock offer presented a pretty good deal and the ability to bring in an "Allardyce" signing.

Salgado is looking like a poor move and he is on high wages but I'll wager they're not much different to what Warnock was on...plus the 8 million transfer fee... Did Warnock go for 8 mill? I thought it was less? And I can't remember the exact timings, but I thought the board said there was no money left on the wage budget for new signings, but Allardyce persuaded them otherwise. Would he have needed to persuade them if Warnock had already left thereby increasing space on the budget? Who knows what Warnock was on, would he really have been on as much as 40k? Whatever, this transfer really is beginning to stink. I think Allardyce's credibility is on the line here. This is an experienced player, when is he going to be blended in?
Backroom Tom Posted November 30, 2009 Backroom Posted November 30, 2009 I really don't think we've missed Warnock all that much, Chimbonda has filled in there superbly when called upon
