As I finished Assassins Creed I took it to swap at GAME. Got £26 for it (they were selling the preowned game for £42 which is amazing when 2 mins away at HMV they had it brand new for £35)

So picked up Unchartered because there wasnt much else I fancied.

Uncharted is a really good game. It sounds daft but the acting in it is a refreshing change to other games out there. I would say it is one of the best PS3 games out at the minute. Ive just got Virtua Fighter 5 for the PS3, has anyone had it?

Does anyone know if the 80GB version of the PS3 will be made available in the UK? I still play PS1 and PS2 games, so the new "bargain" 40GB model, which is not backwards compatible, is of no use to me. The 60GB are still available if you are willing to pay over the odds (ebay barstewards!), but I am willing to wait for a possible backwards compatible 80gb version if it is coming. (I still have quite a few PS2 games which I haven't even started yet, so I'm in no rush).

I don't think so Ste, because the 80Gb version is NTSC only. But this is sony so it is doubtful they will make it clear whatever happens. It's all got a little confusing and I am amazed how badly they are handling the PS3 - it is as if they want it to fail. My advice is wait, unless you must have one. You could probably buy the NTSC one on import, it should work with modern TVs, but don't quote me on that.

Cocker, I hope Uncharted restores some faith for you - it is cracking. I have lost more faith in Sony looking through the five versions of the console they have made already, only two of which remain in production and thier lack of clarity with the PAL market as a whole.

Just downloaded, installed, played and deleted Fifa Street. A total waste of my bandwidth. EA Big should concentrate thier efforts on snowboardig again rather than this drivel. Even if it had been an extra for Fifa 08 I would have been disappointed...

That bad? I downloaded it last night but haven't had a chance to play it yet.

On a related note, played Motorstorm online for the first time, really impressed with the online service, almost no lag whatsoever and the loads/lobby changes etc are great, can't see what the uproar over crap online play was about from where I am standing. Will give Fifa Street 3 demo a spin later and report back.

I know what you mean. I played the the ps2 version and didnt enjoy it at all. It seemed like half the time you were just watching the computer animation while it danced round a player. Even when you shot you didnt know if it would go in or not - just luck.

Anyway, will give it a razz later (looking forward to see how Turok does more though)

On another note about motorstorm I have a little rant..........Now, don't get me wrong, I think downloadable content is brilliant however, with motorstorm you feel kind of cheated. I certainly felt that the game was unfinished and missing a couple of tracks. Its as if they left them out on purpose so muggs like us will buy them later. At least things like this should help with the higher production costs- grumble moan grumble

To be honest, it probably isn't that bad, but I just don't see the point. Fifa 08 reigns at them moment, Pro is broken, this just seems a little crap for the asking price - especially when EA already have a decent football game.

It's the same with Jericho/Timeshift/Area 51 Blacksite/etc, etc, repeat to fade. Once you have played CoD4 and Resistance, the rest just seem kind of pointless. Area 51 is the only one I didn't delete within five minutes, lasting nearer fifteen but I just thought "This is Resistance but not quite as good".

Not many demos are lasting long on my system any more. I quite liked the battlefield game as it is a little different. Juiced 2 is still on because I made a car which is half blue and half white (sad I know but it took me ages). The airplane thing is still on too because it is different. And John Woo's shoot em up because at least the gimmick is intuitive to use and I just use it so mates can see the PS3 in action.

In reality, no one should listen to my opinion because I still have the full version of Super Rub A Dub as well. And I quite like it. ;):D

Ok, played the demo's.

Fifa Street - as already said, this is very VERY poor. Nice cash in for EA though. Controls are poor and like previous games your just watching the animation really. Goal or not a goal - who cares.

Turok - again, oh dear. When I first saw the game play movie I thought it looked ok. I first saw the gameplay movie a good while ago and nothing has changed. Some of the wepons look cool however, who cares when they arnt much use. Forget about the wepons and just use the knife and you will get by just fine. Compared with other games the graphics are nothing to write home about either. If all copies of Resistance/Rainbow 6/Call of Duty got wiped from the earth I would probably still leave this alone and get out my spinning top that I had when I was about 4

NBA 08 - Now, I cant be too harsh on this because I dont really know about basketball games however, its not bad to play and looks quite nice. Again a guess because its not a purchase for me but out of the type of game that I have played this looks and plays then best.

Just as bad on the 360. I loved it on the N64 too. Could have been so much better.

Does anyone have the following games:

F1 championship, Motorstorm, Resistance Fall of Man, Tiger Woods Pga Tour, Ridge Racer, PEs2008.

If so anyone fancy a game online? Can you select individual people to play rather than the comp automatically searching for suitable opponents? Not quite mastered online yet.

I have Resistance, Motorstorm and PES, will play you online at any of those. WNxSniper (try without capitals if that doesn't work not sure if it is case sensitive) is my PSN, add me and I'll accept you when I get on.

The only game I have tried online so far is Motorstorm and you can create a room there in which only friends can enter, so yes, you can select individuals if you have them on your friends list (as I expect you would if you wanted to play them :P)

A next-gen project by the creators of Far Cry. Rumors quickly spun up after Crytek posted a jobs ad for a PS3 Programmer and Console Senior Tools Programmer as to what this project might be (the hottest guess was of course that the studio's amazing Crysis would be brought to consoles), but nothing official has been announced as far as what the studio is planning.

So they are making a "project" out of this. I think the fact they had a jobs ad for a PS3 specialist might hint that they are going to do something with Crysis on the PS3.

Crysis not coming for 360

Tiberium looks good.

Crytek are definately on the move with the PS3, hopefully it is Crysis.
