The only one i'll say with any confidence that will be accurate is GTA4, theyve made such a song and dance of a global all-platform release they darent mess it up. As for the others I wouldn't rely on retailer's release dates. I'd be very very surprised if Resident Evil 5 arrives in just over a month's time for example. Some may be right of course.

I had heard rumour that Resident Evil 5 is more than likely to be released sometime in 2009. The only release dates i tend to believe are those games that are based on movies and more often than not those games tend to be crap.

Gutted with the Update again this week. Lost Planet is all there is really which I downloaded from the US store 2 weeks ago now.

Is anyone having trouble with online play recently. Last week or so my online connection has been horrendous. Lag on PES is now unplayable even against people with 3 bars connection. Tried Online F1 and that was as bad. Thought it might be the wireless modem but our internet works fine on the computers.

I wouldnt count on that one mate. From what I have heard they have only just released (this week) more patches for the beta testers to try.

Think we will be many months off that one.

Mine has been fine. Pro Evo I would ignore straight away because the online for that one cant really be trusted. I have never played the F1 game however (and this is a HUGE guess) could it be that because the game is quite old now they may have taken down a server or two for it? Ok, thats a total random guess so you could try and restart your router - yes the good old reboot. If your line provider has made any changes to your line your router wont see them till it goes down and comes back up - sounds silly but its true.

Another thing to check is that none of the pc's in the house are downloading anything while you are online - this could slow you down.

Have you no other games you can check against (surly you have warhawk by now)

Lost Planet has only just come out on PS3, but how come it is only £30 (or cheaper).

Is it really bad or what?

Download the demo and see for yourself. I didnt think it was that bad but at the end of the day its a game thats over a year old on the 360 and there are other games out of more interest to ps3 owners. I can't see it doing very well even if it was £25

Cocker, if anything big ever arrives, the chances are you will have heard about it before you turned the PS3 on so there isn't much point getting your hopes up every week/update. If something good arrives, they will shout about it.

Yes I know but little things like Pain or the Bowling game which the American store has had for months would help things along a bit. Its the same with the actual demo's - there are loads that havent been on the eu store. (I know we can download the demos from the us store but I am not paying for the games from it)
