Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Depending on your point of view, to the tune of our beloved national anthem. God save our Stevie Kean He leads our football team God save steve kean Send us victorious, no longer boring us Venky's took over us God save Steve Kean. Or if your pro Sam, simply... God save our football team now we have got steve Kean God save our team. Big sam was genius, our target's mysterious Teams used to fear playing us God save our team.
Exiled_Rover Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Depending on your point of view, to the tune of our beloved national anthem. God save our Stevie Kean He leads our football team God save steve kean Send us victorious, no longer boring us Venky's took over us God save Steve Kean. I'd love witty stuff like this to be sung. Sadly it'll never catch on.
cletus Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 "Keano! there`s only 3 Keano`s, there`s only 3 Keano`s, there`s only 3 Keano`s."
Hughesy Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 We already sing Barmy Army so I think we should adopt the cricket version which sounds pretty good if in sync. Current lyrics below....wouldnt need changing much. Everywhere we go Jimmy: Everywhere we go Crowd: Everywhere we go The people want to know The people want to know Who we are Who we are Where we come from Where we come from Shall we tell them Shall we tell them Who we are Who we are Where we come from Where we come from We are the England We are the England The Mighty Mighty England The Mighty Mighty England We are the Army We are the Army The Barmy Barmy Army The Barmy Barmy Army Andrew Strauss's Barmy Army Etc Etc
rovgers Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 No. That's a cricket song. It was a football song before, Rovers used to sing this version in the 80's- Everywhere we go, Everywhere we go, People ought to know People ought to know We are the rovers, We are the rovers The blackburn aggro The blackburn aggro If you don't believe us If you don't believe us Come and have a go Come and have a go Whooa Whooa. Then it would end up with complete nonsense being repeated.
philipl Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I heard one chant at Ewood on the TV I hadn't heard for a long time. It went something like this: BOOOOOOOOOOO
rovgers Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I heard one chant at Ewood on the TV I hadn't heard for a long time. It went something like this: BOOOOOOOOOOO I'm surprised with that, our fickle fans have been doing it for ages. You must not be able to hear it on tv!
Exiled_Rover Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I heard one chant at Ewood on the TV I hadn't heard for a long time. It went something like this: BOOOOOOOOOOO Admit it, that aroused you.
AspRover Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Kalinic, Kalinic, He'll score a brace then break your face, Niko Kalinic...
Ben-2000 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 The 'we follow, we follow' has been done in the Darwen End a couple of times (as well as a few other new one's). You know where we are if you fancy a sing song
Hughesy Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 The 'we follow, we follow' has been done in the Darwen End a couple of times (as well as a few other new one's). You know where we are if you fancy a sing song I think you boys in the Darwen End should move over to the BBurn End and move out some of the moaners - that way I can enjoy some new chants, as Im never moving from my Bburn End seat.
daveoftherovers Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I think you boys in the Darwen End should move over to the BBurn End and move out some of the moaners - that way I can enjoy some new chants, as Im never moving from my Bburn End seat. I hear the away fans were in fine form at West Brom?
Roost Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I hear the away fans were in fine form at West Brom? Yep, still hoarse! Best song? we're winning away, we're winning away how sh*t must you be we're wining away Great day to be a Rover
riverside returns Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 what was the chant that kept coming out yesterday in the top of the rovers fans. couldnt make it out at the front
Exiled_Rover Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 After yesterday (though I still don't think it was a red card): Nikola, ooooohoooh! Nikola! He comes from Croati-a, He'll whoops I missed off the "g"' murder ya!
Ben-2000 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I think you boys in the Darwen End should move over to the BBurn End and move out some of the moaners - that way I can enjoy some new chants, as Im never moving from my Bburn End seat. I think the moaners are well and truely rooted to the BBE... As it's unreserved in the Darwen End all the singers can congregate together which is a great help... can't see any moving back over there to be honest and the singing 'corner' seems to have spread down and across a little now, looks like numbers are continuing to grow. Just move for the odd game and try it out, still the same view, just the opposite end and standing. Oh and you'll go home with no voice Sounds like people like you would add to it all, but we just hope people don't start moving across to see what it's like and not contribute!
sambo Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 what was the chant that kept coming out yesterday in the top of the rovers fans. couldnt make it out at the front Could be So come on cheer the boys Rovers make some noise We go wild wild wild
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2010 Backroom Posted December 29, 2010 I find it a bit Cringeworthy keep hearing Rovers fans singing 'sh*t support my lord' ala Villa, it's just pathetic all things considered really. For one it came from opposing fans singing at us and two we are hardly in a position to criticise.
