unluckymorton Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Hi all, Im coming to two games at ewood in december just wondering if there is any pubs or somewhere most of the supporters go before or after the game. Ewood Arms and the Fox and Hounds are both a matter of minutes from the ground. You could also get down the the Blues bar that is situated in the Blackburn End. If your travelling from Oz, you could contact the Blues and let them know, they may organise you a pass for entry before and after the game. If your sat on the Blackburn End Lower you may even get a half time pass at a push.
OhmiBRFC Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 There's also the Aqueduct. Although my favourite is the Ewood Arms as we tend to get a bit of atmosphere an hour or so before the game.
DanLad Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Not been in the Ewood Arms for years, but a mate went in on Sat'day and said it was alright. I'm usually in the Fox and Hounds.
Jim J Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I've started to go in the Havelock Inn. Lots of TVs to watch the early or late game on, and there's an outside bar for lager & bitter if its too busy inside.
cgbdon Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 thanks for the info. Looks like Ewood Arms is the go.
MCMC1875 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Have a look a the Away Travel Guide section.
OhmiBRFC Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Not been in the Ewood Arms for years, but a mate went in on Sat'day and said it was alright. I'm usually in the Fox and Hounds. I used to drink in Aqueduct, but all my mates drink in the Ewood Arms so I've changed my water hole. I prefer the atmosphere in Ewood Arms thanks for the info. Looks like Ewood Arms is the go.
Presty On Tour Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 NEW WARNING FOR MEN Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties and local pubs to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink by any woman. Many females use a date-rape-drug on the market called Beer. The drug is found in liquid form and is available anywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, or from taps and in large kegs. Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and sleep with them. A woman needs only to get a guy to consume a few units of Beer ...... and then simply ask him home for no-strings-attached sex ! Men are rendered helpless against this approach. After several Beers , men will often succumb to the desires to sleep with horrific looking women, to whom they would never normally be attracted. After drinking Beer.... Men often awaken with only....... "hazy memories"....... of exactly what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague feeling, ''something bad'' occurred. At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life's savings, in a familiar scam known as ''a relationship''. In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer-term form of servitude and punishment referred to as ''marriage''. Men are much more susceptible to this scam after Beer is administered and sex is offered by the predatory females. If you fall victim to this ''Beer'' scam and the women administering it, there are male support groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with similarly victimized men. For the support group nearest you, just look up 'football stadiums ' and other male dominated venues in the phone book!!
