modes98 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 From what I am aware. If the player brings an injury into the game then they are unable to get a runner. However if it occurs in the game then they are allowed. Not sure on cramp as I suppose it isn't really an injury, just a muscle ache. Good performance by all the batsmen, for a change. Morgan and Shah looked in impressive form hitting anything of any length for 6. Still major concerns about the team and they will crash for a poor score soon.

Redrose49er Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Don't get me wrong, I love my cricket but I do get the impression this summer that it has been on TV far too much, WI series, Ashes, T20 (didn't happen!), 7 ODIs and now the Champions Trophy. Overkill in my eyes. I really have no interest in this Champions Trophy, I might watch England but fear the worst, otherwise not too bothered. I take it all back!!!!
Flopsy Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 its amaxing what a competant performance leads to. ODI cricket can be great, it just needs two decent sides playing
Ricky Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Surely cramp isnt an injury and therefore Strauss was right to say no to a runner.
Iceman Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Smith is a tit. The batting power play, should have been taken when he and De Villiers were in. Also Kallis, doesnt know what quick scoring is all about. Im glad England knocked us out, as this cricket team has become too arrogant. Australia imo, is still the best team when it comes down to the big tournaments.
1864roverite Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 England typically are now an abysmal 110-8 versus NZ. The ball zipping all over and still the best of 20 overs left.
Iceman Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Well it just had to happen i suppose. 320 in 1 game, and 100 for 8 the next. Lol
LeftWinger Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I think we're letting the Black Caps qualify with us. I'd definitely be more comfortable playing them again than the Sri Lankans. New Zealand are as bad as we are!
neekoy Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Maybe they just got the jitters knowing they had us to play next
Iceman Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Big day for England today. Which England team, will turn up today? Thats going to be the big question, and will Australia remind the English batsmen of the 6-1 drubbing? Should be a good game either way, but Australia might just have the edge. The worrying thing for England is the inconsistency of their batsmen.

All will be revealed later, when Australia bat.
T4E Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 England 251-9 with 46.2 overs gone. Bresnan just gone for 80 off 76 balls, great innings and very timely. If we can stick another 20-30 on for the last wicket we've a decent chance.
neekoy Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Crushed, absolutely crushed. 9 wickets, what a win!
Ozz Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 It's hardly a massive scalp in the 50 over game Neeks. You beat us every week at it!
Iceman Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Lets go Pakistan. Would make a better final, me thinks.
neekoy Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 It's hardly a massive scalp in the 50 over game Neeks. You beat us every week at it! Generally not by such a resounding victory
T4E Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Why do our players keep suffering "strained buttocks"? What are they doing on tour?
