Biggest news for the Sam haters out there- Andrews has been dropped to the bench!

I like the look of the line up.

Robinson

Jacobsen Nelson Samba Chimbonda

Nzonzi Grella

Diouf Dunn MGP

Di Santo

IF Nzonzi and Grella have good games and can provide MGP and Diouf, I can see Di Santo finishing off the chances.

I predict 3-1 Rovers

There's no way a 4-4-2 would have worked against Villa, that would have played into their system perfectly. Decent selection from Sam, though it is a shame Junior's not included in the first 11. Happy that Roberts is out of the squad, injured or not, and that Andrews is on the bench. We've got the personnel on our bench to switch to a different system if the 4-5-1 fails to achieve what we want. A little more confident we may sneak something now.

We play 4-5-1 to accommodate Dunn. We'd get murdered with him in the middle pair in 4-4-2.

Rubbish. There's nothing wrong with playing a creative player in the middle of a 4-4-2, particularly if you have a specialist defensive mid to play alongside him, and we have two to choose from.

McCarthy and Kalinic obviously never made an impression, then.

I guess Sam is trying to get the most out of Di Santo while we still have him. It'll be a tough game, but with home advantage we'll have a chance.

EDIT: Aaaah ballz, 1-0 down.

Anyone know how many times we have conceeded early under Allardyce ?

It happened last season as well - something not right with the pre match prep ?

Just sh*t players in my opinion. the team looks considerably weaker this season and we have started with a fairly negative formation.

So Nzonzi misses the header in central midfield, ball finds Agbonlahor going between Samba and Nelsen like a knife through butter, scuffs the shot completely and it bobbled in off the post.

At the other end, MGP completely free, scuffs his shot, finds row Z.

I joked with the missus, as I flicked over a bit late for kick off.... 'knowing ROVERS we'll be down 1 already....' Grrrrrrr.... Right..!

I've done exactly the same twice this season now; Citeh and now today.

Seriously, have our side ever heard of keeping it tight in the opening minutes?

Friggin joke and we wont come back with our defensive line up.
