SamDingle Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Sammy lad, the banter is good at the moment, lets hope it stays that way. As we peddle slowly towards October 18th, just be aware that the bites are going to get bigger and bigger. lets save the "in our wake" campaign until after the derby at Ewood. It is good fun isn't it. It's been a great start, even seeing a side of Chelsea's class was an experience. But yeah, it's all just part of the build up to seeing the super Clarets putting on a show at Deadwood on the 18th.

1864roverite Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Its funny you keep referring to a modernised stadium at Ewood as deadwood. How do you refer to the t'urd, a 2 sided monstrosity of a ground ? rocky's den ? the family home ? Inbred arena ?

American Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 It is good fun isn't it. It's been a great start, even seeing a side of Chelsea's class was an experience. And therein lies the difference. We can see sides of Chelsea's class every season. Enjoy it the one year that you can.
UbuRoi Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 And therein lies the difference. We can see sides of Chelsea's class every season. Yeah, brilliant isn't it getting dry-bummed by them. Every season. Last 13 v Chelsea... Chelsea W 11 (26 for) Rovers W 1 (6) D=1 maths fans.

You`ll probably be watching it on telly Sam. Bouncing up & down on your daddy-uncle`s knee in your claret jimmi-jams. Then you`ll be telling everyone at school you were there!!
SAS Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Yeah, brilliant isn't it getting dry-bummed by them. Every season. Last 13 v Chelsea... Chelsea W 11 (26 for) Rovers W 1 (6) D=1 maths fans. Really, i remember drawing against them in the fa cup, at stamford bridge a season or two ago, and beating them to get into EUROPE, as well as actually being at stamford bridge and seeing us beat and draw against them maybe 5 year ago...... Other than that been a few 4-0`s to them, and a lot of close games.... Certainly no 30 - 3 attempts on target, games anyway
Mike Graham Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I was talking to the darren end lead steward yesterday. he was briefed by the Club that they have agreed with the Police that Dingles have the Darren End Upper and half the Darren End Lower. A "Security Wall" will be built outside the Darren End to seperate the dinlges thugs from the Rovers fans in the Riverside and in our half of the darren End LowerTier. The dingles will only be allowed to have their tickets when they board official coaches...they will not be allowed to travel under their own steam.
JAL Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 If true a ridiculous decision by Finn nad Williams ridiculous Sack the what does that mean? numpties.
Mike Graham Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 If true a ridiculous decision by Finn nad Williams ridiculous Sack the what does that mean? numpties. JAL, it is true. I have known the source for ages and I trust him 100%.
SamDingle Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 JAL, it is true. I have known for ages and I trust the source 100%. Official Rumour No. 237.
Hasta Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I presume that means they get half the lower and half the upper. The turnstiles for the other side of the upper tier will be next to the Rovers turnstiles and it would be easier to not have them above.
Mike Graham Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 no, all the upper and 1/2 the lower. The turnstiles can be reconfigured. For any doubters of their (Sam for example) just wait and see this confirmed.
JAL Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 JAL, it is true. I have known the source for ages and I trust him 100%. If True, the way I see it is, they Finn/Williams.. put MONEY BEFORE HONOUR!
ABBEY Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Official Rumour No. 237. how the balls can you relate to a number as high # 237???? its 225 higher than you cloven hoofed buffons can count up to!!!
Stuart Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 how the balls can you relate to a number as high # 237???? its 225 higher than you cloven hoofed buffons can count up to!!! And it's not divisible by 6.
brightonrover Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Does that mean that part of the Darwen End will be open to Rovers supporters or kept empty?
brightonrover Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 try reading the OP again brightonrover Ooops!
Hasta Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 If True, the way I see it is, they Finn/Williams.. put MONEY BEFORE HONOUR! Can you explain why? The way I see it there are three issues:- 1) Fan safety of having 5,000 dingles in town. 2) Whether we can fill it with home fans 3) We only get 2,300 at their place and are giving them double. The first two are serious issues that the club should be considering. However most people on here seem aggrieved with the third. Burnleys away end only holds 2,300 now so there's very little we can do about it.
Ossydave Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Surely the first few rows of the upper tier will also be off limits? If not then the Rovers fans below are gonna end up covered in spit and urine.
Hughesy Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 So half the darwen end lower to Rovers fans??? How do I transfer my seat over to there for 1 game?!
philipl Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Smart move- Rovers have done everything they could have done to sell the whole Darwen End. Presumably DE ST holders will be offered DE seats leaving the club the chance to maximise income from walk-ons in the JW stand and dingles paying top whack in the DE.

Says the man who said that the free travel to Stoke would result in the 'flask, blanket and non-singing bridage' turning up ..... I rest my case
