AndyNeil Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 do you REALLY think Burnley fans are going to get the chance to cover us in spit and urine ... SamDingle was be a bit of a wind-up merchant but the one true thing he did say was the amount of bed-wetting and the lack of backbone on here is about right. I'll be in the Darwen End and if I end up covered in spit and urine then I'll buy you a pint (after I've had a wash of course).

I think they will get the chance yes if they're sat right at the front of the DE upper. I'm not saying it would put me off sitting in there, in fact I'd like to sit in there for this game but doubt it'll be an option.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I suspect the first 5-10 rows of the DE Upper will be kept empty with netting and probably coppers. I can't see them p*ssing down over that distance. I can see them lobbing coins over pretty easily though... Better than giving them the whole stand, anyway.
*foreverArover --- Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Why not (in the darwen end) half rovers fans and half dingles? Confused by the decision really :? wouldn't it be easier to split the darwen end into 2 sections than cause all this chaos? hmm :/
JAL Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Can you explain why? The way I see it there are three issues:- 1) Fan safety of having 5,000 dingles in town. 2) Whether we can fill it with home fans 3) We only get 2,300 at their place and are giving them double. The first two are serious issues that the club should be considering. However most people on here seem aggrieved with the third. Burnleys away end only holds 2,300 now so there's very little we can do about it. Sorry Hasta cant answer your questions just yet, too angry in fact livid to post any type of reasonable response. Philpl can take a running jump aswell with his post.
booth Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Anybody see the face of fury on the toothless hillbilly numpty as highlighted on MoTD? Bloody brilliant! Even the Beeb seem to delight in taking the p1ss out of the backward gits. Adrian Chiles is back tonight so he's sure to pick it out. I was laughing out loud at that. I had to rewind it to watch it again. Priceless. Edit: Look at this 16 seconds in. Is this Sam Dingle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKR6PlGC0fw http://www.blackburn247.com/forums/attachm...mp;d=1251734010
Tris Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 If True, the way I see it is, they Finn/Williams.. put MONEY BEFORE HONOUR! JAL - the club are almost giving away season tickets and have also gone all out for walk on fans with the crucial 3 - but the Darwen End Lower on Saturday wasn't even close to half full. 1) - How the hell are Rovers going to sell home tickets for Burnley at 29 quid each if people aren't taking the offer of 3 games for 30?? Are we supposed to bus in some extras from Preston or something? 2) - If non-ST / non-crucial 3 Rovers fans are so keen to get access to the Burnley game, why haven't they used their bonces and showed support by snapping up the crucial 3 as a precursor for being able to buy tickets for the local derby? 3) - Given (1) and (2), do you really think Rovers are currently in a position to turn down a 6 figure sum in revenue, just to put local noses out of joint?

Well said. What's the problem? I assume everyone on here has a season ticket/will be able to get in. Why no whingeing when the mancs get all the DE? And it's not as if every ticket was taken up away at burnley last time.

Another incentive to purchase the 15 (16) game DE season ticket. As the pound coins and sharpened 50 pence pieces rain down from the top tier, the £150 season ticket gets cheaper by the minute...
blue phil Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 All in all - a just about acceptable compromise . Giving the lowlife the full end would have been totally unacceptable . This also gives the lie to those who believe the DE can't be segregated for "safety reasons" .

leftfooter Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Well what have you done to attract supporters to Ewood? Wry social commentary not really your thing is it Philip? And still trailing around after me I see... Have you not considered joining a club or some other type of activity?

berkshireblue Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I dont see what all the fuss is about, Burnley have a much smaller ground so need to allocate less away support ..Last time they came in the cup we had a full house and they had all the Darwen end there was no trouble...Its very rare that we fill 3 sides of ewood and need more tickets for the darwen end....so give them the whole end let us fill the other 3 sides and have a full house Its 1pm on a sunday also
1864roverite Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 TBH I dont give a rats arse about what allocation they have. I have my ticket for the game and WILL be there. Further to that, once the tickets for the away game at the t'urd are on sale, I will queue up for mine as usual to ensure I get one. Any Rovers fans who want them just for this game might just find it a struggle and might just realise that they will have to get to Ewood for a couple of other games to ensure they get one.

We`d sell our allocation easy......no doubt about that!
Ben-2000 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I think we will sell out against them at home no problem, would like to see the DE issue confirmed one way or another though. I know people who haven't been for years are wanting to go to this game.

There were only 2500 3 for £30 tickets and they all sold out.
yorkblues Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 i was in blackburn police station today and they told me burnley are only getting 3,000
cletus Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 There were only 2500 3 for £30 tickets and they all sold out. 23k attendance -19k ST holders -1.5k away fans =2.5k left over ......your numbers add up, but i never knew only 2.5k were on offer. A guy from market research at Ewood said only 600 had been sold by friday tea-time. Selling an extra 1900 on Saturday up to kick-off was some going if your info is correct.

PS Jisty, I will happily bait those guys any time.

riverside returns Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 3000 is the allocation for our retard friends
unluckymorton Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Because it would be nigh on impossible to p*ss in a plastic cup/bottle and throw it of course If it is policed and stewarded correctly as it has been the last couple of time we played them, yes it will be extremely difficult to urinate anywhere near the rovers fans. At first sight of trouble (or urinating as so many are obsessed with on this thread) the instigators should be picked out one by one and locked up. This will surely be the case, especially after what happened at West Ham last week. 3000 is the allocation for our retard friends Is that from a reliable source Riverside? Sounds spot on to me, that would be a lot more manageable to police and more tickets for our lads.

If I'm fortunate enough to get a ticket, I was mostly planning on watching the game, rather than concerning myself with unsual toilet practices. You're an odd, odd bunch.
