rovers1995 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Ever heard the phrase how long is a piece of string? What do you mean?

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Superb news and well done to the Club....they are giving us the minimum for Turf Morgue so Touche to them at Ewood!! ###### 'EM!
AndyNeil Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 What do you mean? It is impossible to say how many you will need ... what if we sell 2400 for EVERY away game between now and then? (not that it will happen). The best advice would be, to give yourself the best possible chance - get to as many as possible!
Lee Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 What do you mean? You are asking a question that we can't possibly know the answer of until closer to the time. As tickets generally go on sale three weeks ahead of the game taking place, that means February will be when it is announced. The club could analyse what away tickets have been sold to how many people and then come up with a formula. No point doing that now is there considering just 400 went to Gillingham and 1400 to Sunderland.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 So is it a 50/50 split along the middle then Lee? With the additional seats between them cordoned off?
rovers1995 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Hopefully I'll get to enough games. I went to Sunderland, going to Everton, Wigan and Bolton and hope that will be enough. I will go to more if I financially can.
SD4E Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Great news. I knew the top tier could be split so was very suprised when Preston blue said it couldn't for turnstyle reasons. balls to them. they have already started bull sh*tting on carrots mad that they will be all over the home ends
the original david brent Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Given that burnley have only been given 3 k, we could be left with the embarassing situation of empty seats in home areas. Presumably rovers will have a minimum 3k in darwen end. Given its a 1pm kick off, sunday, its on tv and there will be increased security measures (hassle) for home fans to purchase tickets to prevent infiltration, i just cant see us selling out the home areas. I hope im proved wrong.
AndyNeil Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 30,500 - 3,000 (burnley fans) - 2,000 (no mans land) - 19,000 (STH) = circa. 6,500 tickets available for walk-ons ... I've be suprised if we don't sell them out.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 It will sell out mark my words. The club have really listened to the Rovers fans with this one, nice work indeed. Burnley fans in home areas?..........................
Ozz Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Lower tier is sold out, so unless you are with an under 16 you can't get to the top tier either. Don't think you answered his question there Lee. Any chance us DE ST holders will l get another freebie now we don't have to move?
riverside returns Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 The Burnley match is one of the original 15 so no freebies. I would suggest that there are only about 4500 seats avaiable when you take off the corporate figures as well
mellison24 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Any Dingles in the home areas won't last long if Salgado is playing.....
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 The Clarrott angst has began!! ''Im in the blackburn end for this game , should be fun''
Lee Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Ah, I get ya, I dunno is the answer. I don't get involved with all that.
stuwilky Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Poor babies, its like their world has ended.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Its so funny it could only be Burnley...please go and humour yourselves fellow blues on 'Claretsimpletons' Its an eye opener!
cn174 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Sorry if I'm just being a bit silly here but I'm struggling to think of a Rovers player with initials VDM The only one I could think of was Van der Meyde. Is he still hanging around? Yes
67splitscreen Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 We might just see a sudden increase in ticket sales for the next two home games, all the dingles trying to get on the data base, give us your money.
chocky Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Really looking forward to this...already booked Monday off and my flights...I still remember the last league match we played aginst them...A little case of 5-0...Can we dream of the same this time round?...I certainly hope so..
Hi Mack Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Someone on another Rovers MB has posted that VDM did play last night and played well. Yes that was me, Dont know how long he played for but been told he looked fit and strong. Can VDM still sign? I was sure free agents could sign any time but someone a while back! was arguing that this wasnt the case!
