LeChuck Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Can VDM still sign? I was sure free agents could sign any time but someone a while back! was arguing that this wasnt the case! Sigh... If someone was released from their club today then they couldn't sign for someone until January, even though they'd be a free agent. Players like Van Der Meyde, Neill etc. are okay to sign outside of the window because they were free agents already when the window closed. I'd stick that rule in my signature if I thought people would read it.

SamDingle Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I'll be fine for a Deadwood ticket even with 3k, got plenty of points etc, plus despite the hype, a lot won't bother on both sides when it comes to the away games. Too much hassle for some. There's always claims of how the game could be sold out so many times over but I've never had a problem getting a ticket. This one means a hell of a lot but only to a relatively small number of people, which is part of the charm. When it comes to the Turf, I hope everyone on here gets one who wants one, particularly Abbey. Obviously I'll delight in the wupping you get on the pitch, but won't be rejoicing that someone doesn't get a ticket. That's fairly petty. Not long now.
cletus Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Tiz fantastic news!!! .....& to those on here who thought protesting & letting the club know our feelings about this matter was a waste of time.......may i remind you that Cletus had several email discussions with Tom Finn about this very issue, & i urged the club to play 'hard-ball' with the dingles & give them the bare minimum 3000 seats. I also pointed out that the Darwen End could be split, the dingles could be bused in & that when they say "Taking Ewood Back" they should mean it & not bow down to the dingles demands of wanting the whole Darwen End. Many on here thought i was championing a lost cause & that i was throwing my toys out of the pram. Many also supported me & contacted the club themselves. Many thanks to those who participated It just goes to show that actions speak louder than words. Because of this fantastic decision, 3000 extra Rovers fans will be able to cheer on our beloved blue & whites .......& we can also take great pleaure in knowing 5000 less dingles will be able to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere we will create inside Ewood Park!!!! The club need to be applauded for this great decision!!!!! AV SOME OF THAT YOU 6 TOED DINGLE SCUM!!!!!
AndyNeil Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 lets just hope the fans don't let all this hard work go to waste ..... 25,500 rovers fans, c'mon - we can do it!
bob fleming Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 ''Im in the blackburn end for this game , should be fun'' Cracking. The first minute might be fun but I can't see the ambulance journey and the time spent in Blackburn Royal for the other 89 minutes being much of a laugh. Clown. Good work Cletus! Nope, won't be long now Sam. Get the ice cream van ready. It's going to happen all over again. You build yourself up, get all excited, and then regular as clock work we beat you again. Deep down you already know.
sambo Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Cletus, we salute you Agreed I was also one of the many others (loads on here did it) who sent emails of protest, but Cletus really showed initative and represented us all Made up myself, better than 7000 scummers
SamDingle Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Two things I can guarantee about this game. - No Burnley fans will go in the home end, following about a million internet posts saying they will. - There will be empty seats. Oh and a third one.. we're gonna play you off the park, believe it. And that's all that matters kids.
1864roverite Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Sam, you seem so confident. Can I ask why ? Whatever gives you the idea that you are going to come to Ewood and play us off the park ? I think that by the time the game comes around and the hype is at full throttle, we can expect litle old Burnley to choke. Me sees a repeat of the April disaster that was a 5-0 whooping for your lot, and whilst we are on about that, you were lucky to lose 5-0.
stuwilky Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Oh and a third one.. we're gonna play you off the park, believe it. And that's all that matters kids. There will be 1000 empty seats at least. And I couldnt give two hoots if you play us off the park (which you wont). As long as we win.

No Nay Never Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I can't believe the Burnley fans on clarets mad saying they will just buy a coach ticket to passify the club then travel under there own steam...I will say this only once (and i would say it on clarets mad had claret hitler not banned me) When paying for the match ticket you will be issued a receipt not a match ticket....once on the coach and coach on the way down the M65 then you will be issued with your match ticket in exchange for said receipt !!!!!!! After game big gates around darwen end and coach park locked till all Burnley fans back on coaches and away. Simples
JAL Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I've heard people talking and acting in an unhealthy fashion towards Burnley fans and the game which i've never come across before. Very dark indeed, very strange, some of it from people who dont go or support Rovers .
Seedstral Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Only half the bottom tier of the DE open for home fans apparently for safety reasons the top half of the DE above Rovers fans will be left empty!! Whether it happens or not i still think the club should be saluted on this as for weeks on end now i think most of us feared a DE full of scumley!!

Mike Graham Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Best get onto your sources preston blue, looks like they were wrong. 3000 on total split between upper and lower pardon!!! sounds like I was 95% correct if you read my original post

It didn't happen then either. I'll be driving, parking in Lower Darwen and taking a pleasant Sunday morning stroll down to Deadwood. It vexes me that I have to buy a ticket for the charabanc but there it is. And stop saying 'simples'. It stopped being funny two weeks ago.

So you won't be at the game then at Ewood Either you know different but doesn't it say there will be no independent travel and coach and match tickets will be sold together (ie possible no ticket until on the coach). Can't seem to remember that being a condition last time but could be wrong as you state/ Although there are always 'ways & means' it may not be as simples as you think ... or could the simple(s) be referring to something else.
Hughesy Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Is there anyway to transfer to the darwen end for this 1 game??

Why the hell don't you go on the bus as requested by both clubs? Also, which has been made very clear, your ticket will be on your coach so you will find it extremely difficult getting anywhere near the ground never mind on it!!! And what route are you planning to take? The M65 will be closed, the back roads will be heavily policed or failing that you could set off really early in the morning to beat the road blocks and sit in your car in lower Darwen all morning. That will be far more fun than going on the coach with all your mates. You sound like just another mindless idiot causing unnecessary obstruction to the police, both clubs and most of all the fans who will be adhering to the requests of all parties to ensure an enjoyable day by all. Another hundred or so of pricks like yourself and there will be carnage at all the M65 exits and the back roads through Accy and Ossy. I'll look forward to seeing you in your upturned dinglemobile on the mini roundabout at Lower Darwen.
