Last time we played at Turd I went straight into the ground.

Time before we managed to get past the police line and made it up to a pub at the top of the road, near to a dodgy council estate or something. Didnt stay long - they dont like Rovers and their songs made it very clear ha ha!

If Rovers fans (eg Blackburn End/Riverside season ticket holders ), individually or in groups, want to encourage, bring and accompany distant or part-time Rovers supporting friends and relatives, a switch to the Darwen End with its unreserved seating area, is exactly what should be done and is an often overlooked aspect of what it should have been set up for.

This does however assume that the Rovers enclave of the Darwen End will remain unreserved seating for this match. If so, with segregation demands and the required percentage reduction for such seating allocations, there will be the minor irritation of the 'Didn't sell all your tickets" boring accusation to be fielded post-match. That said, for this game, Lancashire Constabulary and the club may wish to have Rovers fans assigned to specific seats for security reasons.

All the blather about motive, 'tit for tat' and whether Burnley should have been given the whole end has been a nonsense.

This particular game is an opportunity to temper the steel of the less committed and infrequent attending Rovers fan in the fiery cauldron of a genuine Ewood derby game again.

Those who petitioned the club to maximise the home allocation of tickets for the Burnley game and actually 'Take Back Ewood' are to be commended.

Double, double, toil and trouble

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,

In the cauldron boil and bake;

Eye of newt and toe of frog,

Wool of bat and tongue of dog

Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,

Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,

For a charm of powerful trouble,

Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Owen 'Macbeth' Coyle. The doomed king cometh.

The original offer of £150 for 15 (subsequently 16) games for the Darwen End ST holders was based on Burnley being given the whole of the Darwen End. But in the link below John Newsham states "As far as the fixture at Ewood Park is concerned we have carried out a full risk assessment and believe we have managed to formulate a plan to satisfy both clubs. For example, our segregation plan means we can accommodate visiting supporters while still allowing Rovers' supporters with season tickets for the WEC Darwen End to use the stand for the derby game."

I wonder if they are plan to charge the DE ST holders for the game?

:o they are trying to make the reserve game only open to season ticket holders yet want the fans to share the same stand, rovers need to look again at this <_<

And that would you propose Waggy? Give them the whole Darwen End.

Does anybody know 'when' tickets for the Ewood game go on sale? & if there will be restrictions (ie...data-base only, 1 ticket per person etc...)

I`ve got 4 friends from out of town (rovers fans ofcourse) who have asked me to get them tickets for the Bumley game.

They want to experience the friendly atmosphere of a Roses match ;)

I'd say probably late september, normally three weeks before the game...

They'll have to wait until we play Nob End or Blackpool in the cup - everyone knows that B*rnley are from Yarkshire

I asked the question by email and got this reply from Rovers:

Darwen End season ticket holders will be able to sit in the Darwen end for the Burnley game. At present we cannot confirm which other game will be excluded from the season ticket.

Many thanks

Yes but there is nothing to say Burnley wont be part of it.

Personally Id charge people for the Burnley game....and allow free entry elsewhere for the Everton game.

I think the reasoning behind including it in the Darwen End season ticket may be that by doing so they can still charge the Burnley fans, and any Rovers fans without season tickets that want to sit in the Darwen End for the match, £35.00 a ticket without having to charge the Darwen End season ticket holders the same price.

Darwen End season ticket holders, myself included, would have been pretty peeved off if they were charged £35.00 for the match when the Darwen End is open for Rovers fans. We were told the Darwen End would be closed to home fans for four games, it's open for this one so it makes sense that it's included.
