JC4LAB Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Rumours now a foot that Scotland are looking at Coyle as the next manager of the National team..
philipl Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Coyle ruled himself out of that one yesterday.
OhmiBRFC Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 There's an awe-inspiring level of idiocy on here. Cool. Still posting on your rivals messageboard, I see? Are you a secred Blackburn fan?
cletus Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 The problem with being Scotland manager is you can only pick Scottish players .......so you`re never gonna be successful are you?
67splitscreen Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Burnley get there marching orders, or should I say there bus passes. Next stop Ewood Park, this bus will terminate at Ewood Park
MCMC1875 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 So that's it then - Darwen End split down the middle and if BFC get only 2,700 tickets, that's a no mans land of 1,300 seats if my maths is correct?

No, they're getting 3,000 and I imagine we'll get the same, leaving a segregation of around 2,000 which will be the first few rows in the Burnley half as well as the obvious no man's land down the middle. A few rows at the front of the Upper tier will probably be sectioned off too. They also put netting over the end block in the Riverside and lower JW last time we played them, so we're looking at a reduced capacity of under 28,000 for this game.

I think it is 3,000/3,000 in the DE so that means 1,500 seats not on sale or a maximum capacity of around 29,500. I believe ST seats have been sold already for the full width of the Riverside (no need to do anything as the nearest dingle will be more than half a pitch width away) and the JW. If folks want to kick off right under the Police box, good luck to them!
67splitscreen Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I thought that both ends held circa 8000.????

With these arrangements one cannot see there being the slightest bit of trouble just a lot of shouting and gesticulating to and forth but with everything completely under control. Any trouble always ends up in Accrington for some reason. A big well done has to everyone who has, or will be employed in managing or policing the safety of this game. Is the capacity of the Darwen end not being reduced by at least 2500, with 1000 empty seats on the away side, then another 1500 empty seats above the home fans.

As I understand it it's a 50/50 split, meaning that there will also be home fans in the upper tier. Quote from LT: Burnley fans have been given 3,000 tickets across two tiers of the WEC Darwen End at Ewood Park, and the stand will be split down the middle with home fans for 1pm kick-off.
JAL Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 As I understand it it's a 50/50 split, meaning that there will also be home fans in the upper tier. Quote from LT: Burnley fans have been given 3,000 tickets across two tiers of the WEC Darwen End at Ewood Park, and the stand will be split down the middle with home fans for 1pm kick-off. If its a 50/50 split then both side are 4000 each with Burnley only getting 3000 of their share then the split between two tiers suggest 1000 empty seats on the Burnley side. I think at the moment the upper tier of the Rovers side will be empty UNLESS the other areas sell out and there is further demand but i'd have thought this section would be the last section to be sold to Rovers fans. Thats the way I interpret it from whats been said so far . Just hope the club/police break up the two sections (top and bottom tiers) of Burnley fans thus isolating or distancing one from the other with plenty of empty seats in and around each set.
Ben-2000 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 After segregation and away allocation there will be around 25,000 tickets available to Rovers fans. Judging by the healthy attendances so far I don't think selling this amount of tickets for the Burnley game will be a problem. I know a few people who very occasionally go to games that WANT tickets for this one, and that's just me (one fan!) - i'm sure many others know of such people too. As I said earlier, I think it will be 3,000 on each side with a big no mans land down the middle. In addition to this the first few rows of the upper tier will be out of use as well as the first few in Burnley's half of the Lower.
SamDingle Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 A Dingle's take on it Makes some good points, for those who can separate messageboard 'banter', hype and vitriol from the reality of just going to a game. I think everyone, us and the police have got carried away with the playground rumours and bull**** you hear about these matches.
Nafe_rovers Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 my sister is getting married.......F*** S*** B*******....... WHAT...... ARRRRRRRRR.... stupid women!
4ever&ever Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I think the hype is getting to everyone way to much now. The games against the inbreds will be trouble free although there may be problems outside in the surrounding areas. League game fixtures against us and them can be planned by the police well in advance and they are on top of everything. Also the fans attending these games are mostly season ticket holders so the risk of them causing trouble is very small due to the banning orders that will be handed out. The FA cup games would have been a different story as anyone could get tickets for the game unless they were already on a banning order. However as we know the police were on top of things at both grounds despite the shorter period of time they had to plan policing the games. Without plans implace then there would almost certainly be trouble, however the police are going way over the top and it's only adding to the hype between both sets of supporters. Don't get me wrong I can't stand the inbred barsterds but I'm not stupid enough to risk my career and freedom for laying into a few yorkshire men. I think people need to chill out in regards to the trouble side of things and just make sure the atmosphere is as hostile and intimidating for their team so we can continue to keep them in their place below us.
LeftWinger Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 my sister is getting married.......F*** S*** B*******....... WHAT...... ARRRRRRRRR.... stupid women! I know someone who is a Burnley fan who has the same problem. His sister is getting married that day. I said, can't you just not go to the wedding, he said "I could if it wasn't me who she was getting married to"
Clitherover Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I'd say that managing Scotland is pretty much a step down from managing a Premiership team.
SamDingle Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 ... so we can continue to keep them in their place below us. Keep up
ABBEY Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 managing a fifa 09 team is a step from managing the scum.
