sambo Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 You would actually be "embarrassed?" What an odd thing to get embarrassed about. Well when you're sat down the atmosphere isn't half as good... I for one, will definitely be stood up for the entire Burnley game! If people behind me sit down, I will just go and stand somewhere where everyone else is and squeeze in. If there was more atmosphere in the Darwen End I'd move there, so I can stand up and enjoy the game. The loudest fans stand up for the game. The Kop, away fans, Upper Stretford End, Besitkas fans. Really can't understand why during our biggest game for years, people wouldn't want to stand up and get behind the team. Knowing some Rovers fans, we will probably all be sat down away at Burnley...

Stuart Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 If people stand up during the whole match, my lad won't see any of the game. This is likely to be the most exciting match of his life so far. Or is it tough luck, because some 'better fan' has decided he wants to stand for this one? Standing does have a place in football and if the authorities and BRFC decide at some point to create a standing area - great - I'm sure they'd be full at every top flight ground in the world. Until then people should use the seat provided - including away fans. Failing that, the authorities should simply fine the club whose fans continue to stand in seated areas. Rovers make enough tannoy announcements.
cletus Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I do my fair share of singing and getting behind the lads, but I also respect those who sit around me. However I'm sure that a majority of us will be stood for most of the 90mins, hopefully celebrating a few goals. *Does Cletus sit in NO1 by any chance??? I'm all for getting up and getting behind the lads but what I'm not into is being told that I would be a better fan by standing for the whole game! Another issue is that every season the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool come to Ewood and stand in the Darwen End without the police and stewards getting involved, **my veiw is that they should start dragging them out one by one and they'll soon sit down. *No. Cletus does not sit in N01 **& would you like to volunteer to be one of the 'draggers out'???
cletus Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Oh dear oh dear oh dear I`m looking at all the empty seats ont turd today....... what is it? 3rd home game in the premier league, 7000 free season tickets & they still cannot fill a 22000 seat stadium massive club, my arse!!!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 They're 1-0 up, appalling tackle by Rio wannabe gives a penalty.
Presty On Tour Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 1-1 Bent! Dingle defender sleeping again.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I'm not sure how we're gonna play against them. We can't pass it around teams with 10 men in their own penalty area, and they have real pace in attack.

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I meant comparitive to Givet, Samba and Nelsen. Their fastest I would say is Paterson. He seems a bit like Dickov. And Guerrero is meant to be very quick as well. They have others but I can't say I know their names.

That would cool 'em off alright!

If that doesnt work, we will kick the living daylights out of them.
OJRovers Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 First attack of the half, scored. Good header though.
mogster Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Unbelievable! When the luck is with you it's really with you! It's like Hull last year, whatever they did and how ever badly they played they couldn't lose. Then the luck fairy got bored around Christmas. We just have to hope she finds something more interesting to do much earlier this year.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Sunderland have proved thay you can't just hoof it at Turd. Though to be fair, they are pretty ____ at it.
CrazyIvan Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Sunderland have proved thay you can't just hoof it at Turd. Though to be fair, they are pretty ____ at it. Sunderland have looked really one-dimensional. Talk about hoof it football...

Iceman Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 It just goes to show again how average the prem is, sunderland are pants!!! And they have spent so much money. Apart from Bent, they have looked rubbish. How we lost to them, i dont really know. Okay i do know, we couldnt score
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 3-1, Nugent. They are staying up, I'd say.
brfcshabba Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Any team with Anton Ferdinand in deserves to lose 3-1
Iceman Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 3-1, Nugent. They are staying up, I'd say. Remember that fantastic start by Hull. Early days still ADB
Miker Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Remember that fantastic start by Hull. Early days still ADB You mean during that season in which they stayed up?
Iceman Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 You mean during that season in which they stayed up? Point i was trying to make, was a good start and then it nearly fell to pieces. Crucial, is the period over Christmas which can make or break your season.
