Read the post again,I am talking about the problem of possibly 100's of ticketless 'fans' turning up at Ewood......what happens then?

YOU HAVE A SITUATION ON YOUR HANDS.

Why cant Burnley fans just except the decisions made? why not the fuss from Rovers fans?

And how does the proposed ticketing and travel arrangements stop this?

Are we proposing closing all the roads? Banning all the people of Burnley travelling beyond the towns gate? If people are intent on causing trouble they will.

This just plays into the hands of the boistrous but essentially harmless.... now they feel important. And the message it sends to family supporters and kids?

They have my support because they should be able to travel whowever they want, likewise us when we go to burnley! THOUGHT we lived in Britain, not Iraq being told what, when, were and how to do things

In trying to be fair to the clubs the situation is a preventative to having trouble at Ewood and Turd Moor.

In limiting the number of supporters coming from Burnley to Ewood on 18th October the clubs and Police are taking steps to ensure that trouble at the ground is at a minimum. There is no doubting that idiots from both sides will seek to create trouble and that is louts who have and who have not got tickets for the game.

I am in the camp that doesnt agree with the travel orders saying that the ticket holder MUST go on official travel. I think that is just one step too far and is treatment that is simply unacceptable in this day and age. I mean, how many times have we seen this at Arsenal v Spurs, Manure v man City, Everton v Liverpoo, Ipswich v Norwich etc etc ? The answer is we dont and each and every one of those clubs have idiots in tow.

As for the coaches leaving at 0930hrs ? WTF is all that about ? Does it not allude to false imprisonment ? It is taking away a persons liberty is it not by keeping them on a coach/bus for such a short journey and then hording them inside Ewood.

Lets hope that as The Fernhurst is shut, Rovers put £2.00 on pint, £1.00 on a pie and 10 bob on everything else pricewise just to ensure we wring the most out of our visitors from t'urd. I am almost certain they wil do the same to us next year.

I am pretty certain that the 3000 fans that come to Ewood will be mainly away travelling fans who will be here to watch football, the louts, ours and theirs should be condemned to some wasteland to beat the sense out of each other beofre being labotomised at the nearest idiot unit.

I`m sure everybody has noticed how much fitter our Rovers chick looks than the returd girl :tu: lol!:lol:

I wouldn`t be suprised if Rovers decided not to open the concourse catering & drinks establishments in the away fans section of the Darwen End. The people working in there will be subjected to all kinds of abuse from the visiting returds. There`s a youtube video of dingle morons in the concourse at Preston causing havoc.

With regards to the 'bussing them in early ,bussing them out late' strategy. I totally agree with it. If they don`t like it, don`t come. It`s simple.

I see the dingle moderators have removed the thread...Surely they won't be as stupid as to try the said march to Ewood...I wonder if there is a pssibility of cancelling trains from Burnley during the run up to the match?...If they actually get to Ewood there will be no seats available anyway...

I remember hearing about a large group of Rovers supporters trying to get to Bumley on the train. The police were waiting for them & turned them away from the station. I also remember the 'suicide squad' got turfed off the train at Rishton (in the last Ewood league game) The police walked them right over Shadsworth & down Stopes Brow, approaching the ground from Lower Darwen. That must be a good 4 mile trek

I`m sure every train & bus station between Yorkshire & Blackburn will be heavily monitored by police. Any unsavoury types will be turned away.

I feel sorry for the residents of Rishton with that lot getting turfed out at their station...... :P:P:P

A Dingle's take on it

Makes some good points, for those who can separate messageboard 'banter', hype and vitriol from the reality of just going to a game.

I think everyone, us and the police have got carried away with the playground rumours and bull**** you hear about these matches.

Now that is a very sensible and true article. Reading that takes me back to how it used to be in the early 60's and before that on the rare occasions that the two teams met; given that from league football resuming after WW2, most of the time until 1959 Burnley were in the 1st Div and Rovers in the 2nd.

Why oh why can we not get back to all supporters of both clubs at any football match being able to go into the ground at any turnstile and stand or sit wherever they like. And supporters of both clubs have normal discussion together pre-match, talking about their own and the other clubs teams, individual players form etc. OK and a certain amount of good natured banter as well; it all helps by adding to the pre-match build-up and anticipation. It gives all supporters something extra to remember the match by.

But most of all, it is civilised and friendly and recognises the similarities in hopes and aspirations of both sets of fans. We are all members of the human race, so why not try and remember that fact and stop behaving like wild animals?

An important element to all of this is the younger minority element in Blackburn who will be hell bent on causing trouble with Burnley fans which shouldnt be overlooked.

I went to the away game at the turd in 2000 which was our 1st game there (apart from manx cup games) since the early 80s and went on the train (due to not being able to book on the coaches)!! Old bill everywhere on the station anyone without a ticket were put on the next train back. It was the safest escort to a football ground i'd ever seen and after we were escorted back to scumley manchester road whilst the scum had lined the route that the escort was brought in at from scumley barracks hence the riots what took place as the hooligans had been out-foxed and were nowhere near us at all throughout the day!! Unfortunately the old bill can only get away with these types of arrangements the first time so contingencies are put in place and the likelihood is if anyone travelled by train again then ambushes would take place as pockets of scum would be waiting on every street corner (which was they case before the game but not after). As for the scum getting off at rishton they thought they'd enter under the radar apparently by getting off so far away from the centre only for locals to ring the old bill who took our friends on a 6 mile walk avoiding the town centre arriving just in time for kick off and at haf time they wanted to leave like many others as they were knackered and embarrassed by the scoreline but weren't allowed to. (my mate whos a copper was part of their escort to the ground and told me this) as for this time round forget how the cup games went and the previous 2 league games this is the only way it can be policed properly and for everyone to enjoy their day out as the potential for trouble as increased tenfold since our friends down the road rise to the premier league!!

There will be 50-60 coaches leaving the dingledome at around 9-30am. That means the first coach leaving at 9-30, the last of the convoy leaving an hour or so later. the coaches will be escorted from dingletown all the way to Ewood. this will mean the last coaches will get to the ground around an hour before kick off.

All pubs around the ground and the town centre are to be closed. there are also some pubs in Oswaldtwistle been asked to close by the police.

The big derby games you mention above have been played season after season and the fans are used to it, if both Rovers and dingles play in the same league next year then it will not be as bad.

An important element to all of this is the younger minority element in Blackburn who will be hell bent on causing trouble with Burnley fans which shouldnt be overlooked.

I think you'll find a lot of people in their late 30's and 40's coming out of the woodwork for this one. I'd rather bump into the younger lot to be honest!

Which has upset our 6 fingered cousins by the sounds of things....

http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=1...;mid=2124460810

The dingles come back with;

"No doubt purely an attempt to try and wind up our fans." "I cant believe that part of me is starting to think we should send our tickets back and ban them from our ground. I am bored of this game now and want it to be gone." "get everyone to leave their seats at half time and leave the stand empty."
