deryck guyler's spoon Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Blackburn Rovers v Peterborough United The complete and utter **** Adrian Durham supports Peterborough , he spends most of his broadcasting time hammering clubs like us, Bolton and Wigan because we can’t fill our stadium, and believes we should be swapped with Leeds and Sheff Weds because they can attract bigger gates than us. I for one hope we hammer them and send this ***** home with his tail between his legs, southern ****. I believe he said earlier this season that Burnley would at least fill their ground now that they are in the top flight. No mention since of the empty seats at the Dingle's poxy little B&Q flatpack stadium. Adrian Durham is indeed a ****. He makes a living out of winding folk up and provoking a reation. If listeners to Talksh1te didn't bite he'd soon be out of a job as he's utterly useless otherwise.

Iceman Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Was it me, or did i read some idiotic remarks by Darren Ferguson. Something about rather playing a big team. Anybody confirm that?

He is the only Talksport presenter I always turn off. Even the idiot Parry has comedy value but Durham is just obnoxious. <!--quoteo(post=826773:date=Sep 26 2009, 13:42 :name=Anti-Dingle-Brigade)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Anti-Dingle-Brigade @ Sep 26 2009, 13:42 ) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=826773"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Just extra time and penalties.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> But if the score is still tied after 11 penalties each, the captains have a face off in a grueling game of connect 4 in the centre circle to decide the winners. <img src="http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Perhaps we could make it Twister in the hopes that some of them might do themselves a nasty injury
Rover95 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 The tie is to be played on Tues night - 27th oct - I got it off Peterborough's site (sorry I don't know how to post a link) No prices as yet and nothing on our official site.
joey_big_nose Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I think you guys should be more worried. Peterborough are a better team than Forest. And we were, largely, out-played by Billy Davies' men. They have two very good forwards who will worry our defenders and Fergie II seems a real manager in the making. Another Forest performance and we will be comfortably ousted. If our league form stabalises I can see Sam putting a stronger team out against Posh. He will look at the draw and realise we could have a shot at the semis and not want to risk it. Olus, if we play well, we actually have quite a lot of talent in the reserves - Doran, Jones, Van Heerden, Olsson, Reid, Hoilett, Kalinic, McCarthy are all decent. Better than what Posh have anyway.
Sparky Marky Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 ^ Thereby betraying my ignorance. Apologies. Then definitely overtime. Unless they resolve ties in another manner? Overtime....??
Paul Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I don't believe it. I've waited years for this tie to happen - a good friend of mine is a Posh fan - and I've got tickets to see Fleetwood Mac on the same night. Why can't we play Wednesday? +

I'm sorry mate but I really don't see this is a harder tie. I'm not underestimating Peterborough as we know upsets can happen (ie: coventry last two seasons), but Peterborough are not higher than Forest and are currently in the bottom three having won just one game. In addition, Rovers are the home side on this occasion which will certainly make it harder for our Championship opponents. A home tie against any of the three remaining non-Premier League clubs was the perfect draw and should be a passage through to the quarter finals.
sambo Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 We weren't largely out played by Forest, they pressed without ever looking dangerous
