FourLaneBlue Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Maybe a rovers fan could pull a similar stunt to Uncle jacks statue - maybe wearing the 5-0 t-shirt, with the plane stunt going over in the background...... How about we just leave Jack in peace for now eh? Think he has had more than enough action for a while this week!

levi Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 there's a video of them putting the shirt on jack on the jacksaclaret website,it also says first mission accomplished,to be continued...
adopted scouser Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 They just put a shirt on the statue that's all. A decent enough prank and not the moronic spray can effort we offered. Sorry lads but the comments on here by some, are pathetic. "Maybe the police can identify the face with white cap" get a bloody grip. All I'm thinking about is a good honest win on Sunday, no incidents where the orcs can claim they were 'denied' something, or the ref 'missed' something. I've got a funny feeling they'll score first and we'll all sh1tt ourselves, then we'll win 3 - 1.
McClarky Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 The shirt prank is a cracker, nowhere near on a par with the fly over, but very good all the same. We've got 5 months or so to come up with something for the away game.
Iceman Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I just think the football should be the focus, and not all this childish behaviour. We dont like them, and they dont like us, but at the end of the day what happens on the pitch is the important bit.
philipl Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 The Preston Prat has gone for a 2-1 Dingle win: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8308856.stm Excellent stuff from the hairdresser- Rovers victory assured now The guys who have done the paint job at Turf Moor are cretins.
Kelbo Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Iam not trying to be clever here, but the result on sunday will not be aboutwho is neccessarily the best team, but the team which holds its discipline and doesnt get caught up in the occassion, this is a football match and if Rovers are to win, we must be proffesional, disciplined and organised, because if we arent, we will lose, we simply must be totally proffessional throughout and let them run around like demented penguins!! Arte Et Labore
Backroom Tom Posted October 15, 2009 Backroom Posted October 15, 2009 Both stunts are embarassing but the Burnley one was worse as I have a feeling they thought they were being clever and original and made a big deal out of it, the retaliation was just some loser acting up.

magicalmortensleftpeg Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 ^ one was a lighthearted joke, the other amounted to criminal damage. if there is a line, we're the ones that crossed it, pathetic. If thats the best we can do then its embarrassing.
des Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I know for some people its a big thing, but lets remember folks its only a football match, come win lose or draw life will go on. And remember I live in Nelson almost the burnley fans
Blue n White Rover Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Let's just do our talking on the pitch. We as fans don't need to stoop down to their levels and all we can do is sing our hearts out for the lads come Sunday afternoon. There is a real buzz about the derby but I personally feel it will turn out to be a draw. Hopefully we can get a win, considering their poor away record, but as they say, in a derby the form book is thrown out the window.
jamiebrfc Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Look what I saw at Junction 10 (burnley end) of the M65... For the record, I do not condone this kind of behaviour!
hi-jaq Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Oh well, having just watched my DVD's of the games from the 2001/2002 season in the championship, I'm now in the right frame of mind for Sunday's game. It's a massive thing for me, having just married into a family of dingles (apologies for that, but she's a fair decent bird!!!), this Sunday is of extreme importance to my mental wellbeing for the next 6 months. My wife, all her family and the majority of my mates, are gunning me down on this one & in all of the recent arguments I have only had my 3 year old daughter to back me up (she's a Rover too, although I have to leave her with dingles on Sunday, wearing her new Rovers top of course!!!) I just hope the lads on the pitch do us proud & send me home with the right result to keep my head held high, and rub nice and hard into their dingle faces!!! Now to the serious stuff... I haven't looked in the papers or anything over the last week or so, and I'm planning on goin over Blackburn about 11ish for a few beers... I was going to go straight down Ewood, but I've been told that the pubs might not be open... is this true??? If so what options do I have, would it be better just to go over a little later??? although I do want to get as far away from dingleland as early as I can (after all accy is swarming with em!!!), and over there with fellow Rovers fans. any help on opening times for the pubs round Ewood, or the surrounding areas would be greatly appreciated... cheers guys!!!
cranny7 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I'm staying in the bear hotel on bolton road and a beer with the breaky is a banker, so you could always start in there!! Was also planning on grabbing a few tins and giving our dingle friends a warm welcome from the fernhurst as they come slowly past in there coaches, should be fun!!!
abbzy Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Ok this is the way i see it, this 2 week gap has just made the whole occasion be buolt up even more and people are that excited for the game that they resort to these kinds of stunts and the other is bound to retaliate. By the way does anybody know the Burnley song about Low? some1 posted it the other day, i was trying to tell it to a mate the other day but can't find it!
