LeftWinger Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 first rovers v dingles game i've missed in decades but thats lardarse for you No that's not lardarse for you - that's Waggy for you. No-one is bigger or more important than Blackburn Rovers Football Club - be it you or Big Sam. I'll continue to support them whoever is in charge and whoever plays for them - because Blackburn Rovers will still be there long after Sam Allardyce.
T4E Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Anyone seen the Derby Day build up on Sky Sports News? I swear I'm not making this up, but part of the piece actually features the Burnley Chief Executive sat on his desk playing a banjo. Honest.

I swear I'm not making this up, but part of the piece actually features the Burnley Chief Executive sat on his desk playing a banjo. Honest. Yeh, just seen it - Paul Fletcher aka George Formby!! By the way, I'm the guy with the 4000 Holes fanzines! They said they'd make me look slimmer.
American Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Train tickets purchased - £74 for the 2 of us first class tomorrow afternoon (cheaper than second!), into the Fernhurst and some drinking tomorrow night, then the match and home again on Sunday.
Clitherover Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 What's the crack with drinking in Blackburn on the day, heard rumours about the pubs not serving till the game's kicked off, any truth in this?
Balwer Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Train tickets purchased - £74 for the 2 of us first class tomorrow afternoon (cheaper than second!), into the Fernhurst and some drinking tomorrow night, then the match and home again on Sunday. Wait, 74 quid return combined? Surely not. I am spending 60 for just me and booked a while ago! Heading up on the 3.40 from Euston and back by about 11.00 Sunday night.
unluckymorton Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 What's the crack with drinking in Blackburn on the day, heard rumours about the pubs not serving till the game's kicked off, any truth in this? Postal Order is the safest bet before the game. everywhere will be open after the game. Accy will be fun.
berkshireblue Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Meeting mates at some pub off junction 3 M65 anyone know if it is open at noon, Houghton Arms think its called?
the original david brent Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 i wish the media would not keep goimg on about the match being a sell out,its going to look pathetic when the shiny blue seats meet the world viewing on sunday, why?! at least the 'world' will know we have sold out the allocation given to us, and the empty seats are the doing of the police, and not as a result crap support!
bigcol Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 What's the crack with drinking in Blackburn on the day, heard rumours about the pubs not serving till the game's kicked off, any truth in this? It's 12:30 when the majority can start serving, which only gives us 30 minutes.
jamiebrfc Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 It's 12:30 when the majority can start serving, which only gives us 30 minutes. Its only town centre pubs that open at 12.30, all other blackburn pubs can open when they want
Hughesy Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Taken from Dingle mad----- Anyone got a pic, or driving past it!? "Oh my god they have put another banner up on the M65. Seems they have the spelling correct this time as well. Original, side splittingly funny ,everything those dimwits are renowned for."
92er Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Grella definitely misses out on Sunday, according to the Offish Site. Nelsen and Samba fit, as it Robinson. According to Radio Lancs today, which also had an interview with Allardyce, Grella is going to miss a number of matches.
Paul Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Meeting mates at some pub off junction 3 M65 anyone know if it is open at noon, Houghton Arms think its called? sorry it's just the thought of the Hoghton Arms closing because of a bunch of football fans! You'll see what I mean when you get there. As far as I know it's open and I would be amazed if it was shut. If the traffic looks busy you'll need 20-25 minutes to get to Ewood and park from here.

AJW Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 i have a dilemma , i usually refuse to record/sky + rovers games that i am going to in fear of jinxing the result , but if we win on sunday i'll regret not doing it because i wont be able to watch it over and over again , but i dare not record it just in case i tempt fate ....so do i record it or not .... or am a a big girls blouse with an obsessive compulsory diorder

DavidMailsTightPerm Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 You can see it hereSky Sports build up That Dingle that lives around the corner from Ewood is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame. When you hear some of the distances that Rovers fans are travelling to get to this game - a few miles down the M65 is hardly a hardship - what a plonker. I'd love to know what he does for Burnley home matches - does he complain they aren't closer. The actual distance he has to travel is the same as he would for a Burnley home match. What on earth is his problem.
darwen1982 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Postal Order is the safest bet before the game. everywhere will be open after the game. Accy will be fun. it wil be more than fun, every local hooligan, yob and casual will be in accy after the game woop wwoop
