i have a dilemma , i usually refuse to record/sky + rovers games that i am going to in fear of jinxing the result , but if we win on sunday i'll regret not doing it because i wont be able to watch it over and over again , but i dare not record it just in case i tempt fate ....so do i record it or not .... or am a a big girls blouse with an obsessive compulsory diorder

I'm sure sky will be repeating the match - they normally replay the live games during the following day. The only thing is you won't get the pre-match and half time stuff and more than likely an ad break in the middle of each half.

Cheers ...what is wrong with the place?

Nothing wrong with it at all. It's one of those huge pubs that does a standard food menu, caters for everybody, won't let you down but will never excite you. Its OK and a good place to meet if you just want a quick beer before heading off to the match. It will probably be full of folk ordering half pints and the Sunday carvery. If you want a better pub and something good to eat drive two miles up the A674 towards Chorley; in Wheelton you'll see the Golden Lion on the right, just after the newsagent on the left. Very good food at reasonable prices, guest beers and it will probably be rammed with all the local Rovers who aren't going to the match.

Or alternatively The Royal Oak at Riley Green, just half a mile from the motorway, Preston Blue's local. Just take the Walton-le-Dale road from the motorway roundabout and turn right at the end.

Train tickets purchased - £74 for the 2 of us first class tomorrow afternoon (cheaper than second!), into the Fernhurst and some drinking tomorrow night, then the match and home again on Sunday.

I'm staying at the Fernhurst as well. I'll see you at the pub. Boarding a flight in a little bit.

Taken from Dingle mad----- Anyone got a pic, or driving past it!?

"Oh my god they have put another banner up on the M65.

Seems they have the spelling correct this time as well.

Original, side splittingly funny ,everything those dimwits are renowned for."

Found it on Rovers-mad...

Just had a quick check on that "Jacks a...." well can't say it... site, that Los Dingless have put up... and they are taking great pride in the Jack Walker statue stunt. Poking fun at any of our retaliations (personally I like the banners on the M65, they tickle me... I may do one of my own!!!) It does however, seem to me as though they think they have the upper hand here, as their stunt has found its way into the national papers. I cant think for one minute that any stunt they could ever dream to pull, would ever top the flyover... never, not in a million years, it just simply is'nt going to happen... end of story!!!

The fact is that they dont even have a statue, we could return the favour to (I reckon there are 2 reasons for them not having a statue, because they have never had anyone associated with the club worthy of one & if they ever errected a statue, even a really poor one would look so posh it would make thier ground look even worse than it already does!!!).

I can only really say one thing... we will wait until Sunday, at the final whistle, the scoreboard will determine who has the last laugh... and it will not be the dingles. Their 30 years of hurt will continue, and we will bask in the glory of yet another famous Ewood park victory over these CLOWNS!!!

Big Sam & the Blackburn Aces will get the job done, profesionally like the Premier League team we are... COME ON YOOOOOOOUU BLUUUUUUES!!!

I don't think the highlighted bit is quite true. They had Jimmy Hogan as a player for a few years (12 goals in 50 appearances). He was one of football's greats, though primarily in the areas of coaching and tactics. Of course, his association with Burnley was over 100 years ago.

I meant if he was the age he was when with us. Fans used to have a go at him but he was miles better than any of the midfielders we have now.

Mate, my wife is better than the midfielders you have now.

Dear old Jacks a claret, he wore a claret shirt!

But now he's up in heaven, he wears an angels skirt!

He misses his shirt so much, god conjured up a plan!

And sent some lads from Burnley to prove he's still a fan!

They all went to his statue, and dressed it up with care!

And made sure nowt got damaged, that wouldnt have been fair!

Some people thought it funny, some people thought it sad!

But one thing is for certain, It got those *******s Mad!!
